Since the Solana trolls seemed to think it's a good idea to troll me, here's a nugget of truth: Algorand is BETTER than Solana. It's not even close. Algorand is fast, cheap, and reliable. I can write this as a person that uses both chains and have built on both chains.
I am always shocked when institutions don't launch major stablecoins on
#Algorand
. It's a super fast chain, which is incredibly reliable, why not Algo?
Yes at one point I was very critical regarding the state of things on Algorand. Yes, I changed my mind. No, no one is paying me for this. Life happens, I was designing a protocol with my team, where we started to really like the possibilities on Algorand.
I have always been really enthusiastic about Algorand (the blockchain, not the token). I really like the tech and am somewhat of a maxi... not totally, but let's say, I REALLY like the tech. Building on Algorand, only enforced my opinions.
I have had a very fulfilling time at
@FUNtoken_io
. It is a privilege to work at such a standout organization that is so focused on deepening the token utility. DeFi and GameFi directions will allow us to bring the token into the current while retaining strong ties to our base.
Tried to send money using Solana. It barely works, as usual. Had to try 5 times and wait 5 mins in between. Never have these problems on Algorand. Ever.
So I write a post about Algorand, and how I think it's a great chain that is super stable, and I get Solana trolls trolling me. Meanwhile, if you look at my post, I don't mention Solana anywhere. How insecure do you have to be, to troll someone who isn't actually trolling you?
Regardless of pr partnerships, what sets Algorand apart is the great tech. This should really be always the number 1 statement about it. Great network, which is very reliable, very stress-tested, has run well for years, with a great development company, Algorand Inc, behind it.
I am getting questions like, "Why did you choose Algorand for your protocol? Ethereum would have given you more transactions."
I chose Algorand because it's my favorite blockchain. I like it the most, and I enjoy building on it.
@AlgoFamily
@GlitterFinance
@Algorand
We prefer to think of ourselves as The ONE startup doing interoperability on Algorand (like the One Bridge). However, you are absolutely right, Algorand has the best blockchain technology, imo, and if you build, build on the best.
@The_Coinpublic
, from day 1: constant fud, constant selling, lack of support, 0 connections provided. A truly negative team, with an incredible lack of discretion. No decent project should ever allow them into their private round.
After a long thought process and over two years of leading development, I have decided to step away as the CEO of
@GlitterFinance
. Glitter has scaled to 98% of what we set out. We have created a viable and valuable interoperability solution for both Algorand and Polygon.
@WhaleChart
That's how we know the hacker is not Indian - if he/she was, they'd have to pay 30% tax on the crypto withdrawal and wouldn't be asking to be paid o crypto...
It really shows the issue in the crypto industry when pretty much the best made blockchain is routinely ignored for major projects. In terms of layer2s - let me say first, I have a lot of respect for all devs, that put out software.
I crazy that there is this weird narrative that "well Solana has a higher load than Algorand and more devs, so there, we are awesome". Solana has no functional testnet, Solana's explorer doesn't record some transactions, Solana has RPC issues that require expensive solutions.
For those in the Algorand community that for whatever reason want to insinuate that we got 'too much' in the grant let me share some facts:
1. We got 250k to build a 2 chain bridge. We ended-up building a 6 chain bridge, connecting Algorand to 5 other blockchains.
I am pleased to announce the establishment of Glitter Finance's own foundation, the Glitter Fund. This entity, will help direct all tokenized assets created by Glitter Finance, the Rainbow Network, and all other businesses within the Glitter Group.
Itโs heartening to see where Glitter has started and where we are now. Glitter, as per our v1 whitepaper, was supposed to be a cross-chain, wrapped token bridge, with integrated yield pools. Rehypothecation was supposed to be used to generate a return on the liquidity in those
One of the initiatives that we have recently realized at
@FUNtoken_io
is the creation of our Community Trading Group. This initiative gives our community a greater voice in the development of our product, and empowers it to give feedback.
Can anyone explain please, how millions of funds can be drained from a premier Algorand wallet, and no one knows what's happening, even though this has been going on for a week now.
I have recently read that no major CEX now supports USDCa. I don't know if this is true, since I haven't done the research personally. If it is, then
#GlitterFinance
, which connects USDCa to 5 other major networks, is a key piece of infrastructure for Algorand's liquidity.
Also, time to finality in Algorand is better and is not actually fake. The chain doesn't get as congested. I can go on and on. Next time you think it's a good idea to attack me for a non-threatening post, think twice.
At
@FUNtoken_io
we are all about community. We want to hear your opinion on how you'd like FUNToken to continue the development of the platform. Come join our Trading Group (), and participate in our polls, and let's buidl the plaform together!

I think it's a huge pro for the Algorand community that people that get grants sometimes criticize the ecosystem. At worst, it allows anger to express itself, which is not unhealthy. At best, it leads to a very 'on' community which functions very well and is aware.
#glitterfinance
team has designed a new UI which offers a different flow for bridging and for framing a cross-chain ecosystem. This was all designed completely in-house, and it will be hitting mainnet very soon. The design is geared towards scalability.
Dear Solana, please stop causing problems, if at all possible. Writing that your network is in "beta" mode, as an excuse for causing constant issues, is like a driver turning on hazard lights, while parking horizontally on a highway, and stopping traffic, to buy groceries.
Solana Mainnet is experiencing a large forking event right now, validators are investigating to determine the network health, root cause and next steps. Transactions may fail right now
I am proud of what
#GlitterFinance
has accomplished in 2 years of operations. We have fulfilled two grant mandates, launched multiple products to market, and created a 10-chain crosschain platform. We have built through the worst of the bear market, and never ceased to improve.
My wife just told me that if she ever wants to have me whacked, she'll just buy me a ticket to the next Decipher (Algo conference). To all those that know me and care: I am of good mental and emotional state. I have not willingly bought myself a ticket to Decipher.
#glitterfinance
We are now just a few days away from launching our Software Development Kit, v2. v1 was launched December of last year, but it was not plug-n-play. This version is a major upgrade. It will feature not just our Token Bridge, but our USDC Swap Protocol as well.
integrated pools. Thatโs about it. It was a cute idea, which would result in a highly arbitrary and vulnerable product. The blockchains we would have supported would have been: ETH, ALGO, SOL, and POLYGON.
I am not really an expert on 'tokens'. I can however, talk about pros and cons of blockchains in terms of tech. Tokens really should be a separate conversation. I think the lead into that conversation should always be that no one can control the market.
The Glitter Wallet is going to unify all of our cross-chain ecosystem, add a simple and attractive interface, and allow for easy access to the platform. Mobile is important. It allows people from anywhere to have easy access to the cross-chain movement of digital assets.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many employees that
@GlitterFinance
have had over the last 2 years, including the business teams and developers. I have greatly enjoyed working with you all, and thank you for your contribution to me and my co-founder's vision.
To encourage the integration of Glitter interoperability, we will soon roll-out our โplug-n-playโ SDK, and to increase transparency, we designed a top analytics tool, the Glitter Explorer, featuring analytic stats, and a full history of all transactions.
Glitter Stablecoin Bridge (USDC, EUROC) is totally decentralized and does not operate like a standard wrapped token bridge. Glitter acts as a permissionless and decentralized layer, built directly on Circle, with liquidity coming directly from Circle.
Instead, over months of improving and building the platform, Glitter has become a base-interoperability layer. A platform connecting multiple cross-chain protocols. We were the first to develop a wrapped token bridge between ALGO and SOL.
We're very close to the launch of our new platform. The
#glitterfinance
crosschain platform is being expanded from supporting 6 chains (2 via our wrapped token bridge and 6 via our USDC Protocol), into a 10-chain bridge (an eight-chain token bridge with 6 chains supporting USDC).
I am often asked, โWhat is Rainbow?โ My reply is always that it is our ledger layer. To this I get somewhat blank looks, as I realize thatโs not a lot of information. So what is Rainbow?
Glitter is not the only place to move USDCa crosschain, easily. It's possible to do this via Binance and MEXC. You can also directly interact with Circle and their internal bridge. However, Glitter is the easiest way to work with USDCa permissionlessly, at the moment.
๐งตWatching the development of
#GlitterFinance
makes me proud of our team and what we have accomplished. We have come very far from our MVP, of creating the first wrapped token bridge between
#Algorand
and
#Solana
. ๐
Dear Solana Community,
I am truly sorry for thinking y'all are total screw ups and crappy devs. I know now, we at Algorand suck too, as apparently we can't even label a compromised wallet, compromised, and allow hackers to Vaccuum money from people's wallets.
I am asked by often by our community, "What is Glitter building? Is it DeFi?" The answer is we are building something new, that combines elements of what has already been done, with some new takes.
First of all, bridging is not actually DeFi. It's infrastructure.
At
@FUNtoken_io
we have finished onboarding new team members. Incoming are new CTO, CBDO, Senior Developers, and UX UI, and starting next week we will be ready to start real building. If you are a long-term follower of our ecosystem, there is lots to be excited about.
#funtoken
Dear Algo Hick Bros,
I am trying to understand why you are mad when I call you hicks. If you act like a village person with a pitchfork, and attack a person or a project just because it's outside of what you like, then you are a hick.
On top of all this, the Glitter Finance Foundation, the Glitter Fund, now stewards the growth of our ecosystem. All in all, it has been an intense build time for us.
Lastly, imo, the performance of such tokens as Algo totally undermines any idea that tokens are somehow 'securities'. If Algo was a security, then it should be worth stratospheric amounts because the blockchain is of such a superior quality.
How can any tech/software dev company worth their name, allow for automatic withdrawals of assets, by a malicious party, 2 WEEKS after everyone knew their wallet was compromised? My project has survived unbelievable things in Solana, but I have never seen this level of F up.
@AlgoFoundation
, our colleagues at Solana Land (
@rizzy_multi
) would like to request that you create fake volume via bots, just like they do, so that they could believe that Algorand can handle fake bot volume, just like Solana. ๐คฃ๐๐ ๐คช
There are a lot of exciting ideas being discussed in the
@FUNToken
of how to expand the utility of FUN. I look forward to discussing it all with you on Thursday of next week, in our Community Trading Group AMA, in telegram!
#funtoken
@igorsushko
so then can we just agree that they want to take people's businesses, and the law is called, "I will take over your business and there is nothing you can do about it" ...law
Lots of new and cool stuff coming out from Glitter. One is a new and very cool integration. Another is awesome additions to our explorer. Speaking of which, we are developing our explorer to be a high-quality cross-chain analytics tool. Lastly, SDK is about to move beyond the MVP
@AP_Abacus
Can we please talk about this ETF crap when it actually gets passed, instead of this nothing burger "news" that crashes the market after another outlet publishes the opposite info?
We then developed a USDC Swap Protocol where we expanded into AVA C-CHAIN, Polygon, ETH, and TRON, and now, we are on a cusp of soon expanding our token bridge to: AVA C-CHAIN, BSC, Polygon, zkEVM (Polygon), Arbitrum, and later the Sei Network.
I'm proud of our team. We are finishing the development of multiple products at the same time, during the bear market, and in spite of all the fud and problems all around us. Glitter team rocks!
By creating and launching our Arbitrage Bot,
#glitterfinance
has finally reached a major milestone which I first wrote about in our whitepaper v1. Namely, the incorporation of basic AI into a cross-chain trading environment.
The basic ramifications of this are as follows:
Bridging and Trading in crypto are not the only things Glitter is working on. We are expanding our Explorer to capture some cool statistical things, and become a product in itself. Could I envision coming into fintech? Absolutely.
Growth is important. When you grow you change, and I certainly don't enjoy being a hater... of anything or anyone. Besides that, I have liked Algorand longer than I have been in Web3.
It's not important that the gas fees are low, as it's important that they are uniform. The more uniform the gas fee, the easier it's to run a real business on the blockchain. It's also not so much the TPS, as it's the reliability. Is the product brittle, or is it dependable?
In addition, we have created a functional, cross-chain arbitrage system, and now partner protocols are developing cross-chain lending on top of Glitter. Finally, we are developing Rainbow, our ledger-layer.
The v2 of
#GlitterFinance
explorer will be able to tell the user how long a
#crosschain
transaction will take and when it will be completed, increasing the quality of user experience!
Have some good news: we are deep in conversation with a cool, new blockchain regarding expanding their interoperability and receiving a new grant. This is a great opportunity to include awesome, new tech in the Glitter platform.
#glitterfinance
#crosschain
#ArtificialIntelligence
Another Glitter product in MVP stage is very close to first deployment, our automated arbitrage service (aka, the Glitter arbitrage bot). The arb bot allows automated trading between multiple blockchain ecosystems.
@randlabs
needs to be aware, that their wallet,
@myalgo_
is not opensource. As such, there may be legal liability to all those that have lost funds and projects whose value has been diminished due to this incompetence.
@AlgoFoundation
@ceoleeparsons
Hey
@FolksFinance
, my community keeps asking me to talk to you about listing xSOL. They think it's proven token. So here I is, talking to y'all. Can you list it and make my community happy? Thanks much.
#glitterfinance
is excited to announce that we are migrating all of our tech stack to Optimism! We wish the Algorand community well, and thank them for being loyal fans. Onward and upward.
I think it's hilarious to assume that me writing something nice about Algorand = I am seeking VC funds. You don't know me or my relationships with VCs... and certainly not with VCs on Algorand... who by the way, I have no relationship with, never did, and never sought.
The intent is to make cross-chain simpler to understand to the everyday person. This new UI also sets the stage for our ecosystem growth, and for integration of key platform components such as: Rainbow staking, cross-chain lending, and the Glitter Wallet interface.
"If you want to wallow in your own shitty underpants and flail about while you try to shit on everything, I'd rather you hop on the glitter bridge and go away."
Love the algo community. So supportive ... ๐ ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฃ๐
For traditionalists, we have designed our widget, which features a design much closer to what core crypto users are used to seeing. This can be found here:
@zachxbt
Hi I am the Founder and CEO of Glitter. If you ever want to actually talk about my project instead of slandering it, will be happy to do it. Always happy to talk and explain.
Thanks
I think at some point there has to be a clarification in the crypto industry regarding technology vs speculation. This is a huge problem. Currently, you have a few companies that made products that have amazing tech. On the other hand, you have products that have a strong token.
2. The total cost of this platform is around 1.2 million USD. So we actually OVER DELIVERED.
3. We are still THE ONLY bridge Algorand has to: Solana and Tron.
I'm excited to come onboard as an advisor for
@OrangDx_BRC20
. This is an awesome protocol with a very complete ecosystem and a very strong team. Also, really looking forward to diving into the BRC world!
#orangedx
This also has the added bonus of being open software, and so it allows our company to share open software we have developed with the developer community at large. As our protocols continue to grow, we will continue to upkeep and upgrade this software with our latest updates.
I wanted to address another obvious misconception about the Glitter interoperability protocols. I sometimes see comments that say, "...Glitter is a centralized bridge!"
Let me alleviate you of this worry. Glitter's USDC Protocol is totally decentralized.
AlgoHicks meme coin idea has been nice fun and games. Glitter won't make it, because we have bigger fish to fry. However, someone from the Algo community asked me to 'bless' the creation of it, and may make it themselves.
