@TikkaTemple Almost certainly. I didn't mention Brexit but I'm quite certain it will have made the situation worse. Difficult to quantify though from a subjective position.

@peteneville65 Well said Peter . Increasing life expectancy skewing the demographics,expensive tests&treatments,high patient expectations and disillusioned staff ,all contributing to the decline. I think sooner or later we will have to change to something similar to the Australian system.

@peteneville65 Think you def now need to devote time to giving us some solutions. It seems that all the BMA etc do is moan but never offer practical ideas. Sorting out the pensions issue would be an easy starting point to stop the drain of consultants. Why not go for the German funding model?

@peteneville65 You are spot on! Social care is one of the key issues. I liken it to CCF when something in th heart goes wrong it causes congestion everywhere. Too many frail people sent into hospital and should be looked after at home #rightpeople #rightplace
