I got to tell my little buddy about Paul Wellstone today. Now that she’s 7, she understands more. She asked a lot of questions about who he was and what he did. She’s asked if he was my friend and I told her that, “Paul was everybody’s friend.” We said a prayer at his grave...

I’m not sure Paul would recognize the country right now but I know that if he was still here he’d be cheering us on and telling us to do everything possible to push for the kind of world we believe is possible. Stand up. Keep fighting.

I thought about going out there today. Thank you for posting this. Ok, yeah tears. And yes, he was everyone’s friend. That’s the kind of person Paul was. The Wellstone school. I’m thinking of the kids now.
