Hesitant to toot my own horn, but over the past 7 years my CFB record is now 436-336 ATS as monitored by The Sports Monitor of OKC - a winning % of 56.5% over almost 800 picks. I sometimes wonder if all the work is worth it. Today, I reflect; smile slightly; and continue to grind

My wife couldn’t recall some of our relatives’ wedding anniversary being in January. She asked me and - to her near shock - I knew the date. She: “How did you know that?” Me: “I had Utah +10 over Bama in the Sugar Bowl that night.” I’m not sure if she was impressed or disgusted

My dad once sternly warned me, “Son, there’s no easy money to be made in gambling.” What he didn’t let me know was they were going to shorten the field by 20 yards after I bet the Under 39 on an NFL preseason game. Maybe that part of it was implied though...

Anyone who understands and compiles CFB power ratings has UGA as a clear No. 3 behind Bama & Clemson. Outside of a 4 TD loss or some unusual occurrence, the Dawgs will still be No. 3 after this weekend's outcomes. Understand committee may not see it this way

Not in Vegas this year for the first four days of the Madness, but the advantages of being at home cannot be discounted. Best of luck to everyone!!

In its misleading 23-12 win over NM State last nigot, Nevada only managed 78 yards passing (3.4 yds per attempt) against an Aggie secondary that ranked 130th LY by Phil Steele, giving up 68% completions and 10.1 ypa in 2021. Five NMSU turnovers (4 INTs) spelled the difference

Handicappers should sometimes look more closely when others look away. Iowa St lost its opener to Louisiana, 31-14, as DD chalk. The Cajuns scored on a 95-yd KO return; a 83-yd punt return; & a 78-yd pass. Matt Campbell is 26-13 ATS as a dog since 2012. ISU goes to TCU on 9/26

I’d rate Steve Sarkisian’s hiring a B-. Anybody can look smart calling plays at ALA. It’s not about calling plays, it’s about recruiting players. And there’s nothing to suggest he’s the savior to stop the tide of recruits snubbing their nose at UT & being poached by outsiders

Brilliant Tuesday sunset over Lake Jacksonville. Took a break from studying college football to take it in for a few minutes

I understand the Dodgers’ ball girl has entered the transfer portal and already been contacted by at least a dozen Power 5 teams. Some are looking at her as an outside linebacker, while others are apparently impressed with her coverage skills and project her as a strong safety
