I've loved Star Wars for half of my life but few things have made me fall in love with Star Wars as much as The High Republic has. I'm so happy we're getting to experience this new era of storytelling right now.
If TROS had a truly happy ending and a thorough plot it probably would've become the highest grossing movie of all time and how Disney doesn't see that is beyond my comprehension
somebody needs to give me an encyclopedia on mundane jedi things. do their temple rooms have their own bathrooms or do they share one with others? do they have an unlimited amount of credits to buy robes or is there a temple tailor you can explain your aesthetic to?
who the fuck cares that he's fictional? he's someone we loved, someone who saved us and who meant and still means the world to us. I think it's beautiful that we're celebrating that together.
I was just thinking that I had to keep on being my best self because one day, I'll be rewarded for being a good person.. and bam, an hour later

likes my tweet. Stay positive, kids. It pays off. ๐
good morning I dreamed that jensen announced he decided to quit acting to become a kindergarten teacher and all of us commented "good for you king get out while you can"
I fucking love talking to my friend who's never seen star wars. just showed her a picture of chewbacca and she deadass said "isn't that a tree? it looks like a tree"
happy two year anniversary to me meeting adam driver, having a brief conversation with him and, dare I say, touching his hand. plot twist: I've actually been dead ever since that moment and you've been talking to ghost!pat for the past 2 years (first pic is him smiling at me uwu)
I can't believe I'm witnessing this with my own two eyes. I also can't believe I've fallen down the Supernatural rabbit hole again. But I'm doing it gladly. And yes there are tears in my eyes upon hearing Dean Winchester's voice. Let's go๐ญ๐ซ

*everything goes up in flames, everyone loses their marbles, there is an unknown monster stealing the force and no one has a clue what the hell is going on*
something I really love about the Alphabet Squadron books is how realistic they are. people need to use the bathroom, they have bloodshot eyes from sleep deprivation, their stomachs rumble, they reek of sweat, take showers & then run around with wet hair because time is dire.
since we're all looking at

right now: the Alphabet Squadron trilogy has a FANTASTIC Hera point of view that shows every facet of her character, enriches her story, calls back upon her past, and lets her be both passive when necessary and active when needed.
queer romance in star wars is the ultimate form of escapism because there's no requirement for the "this wouldn't be accepted" discussion (which is an important topic, but it's nice to be able to just ... see people fall in love)
you know what life day is about? miracles. you know who's the biggest life day fan in the order? stellan gios. you know who could really use a miracle right now? stel-
what's on the temple cantina menu? is there a yearly health check up? do jedi wear make up? can you sit on the stairs to have an iced coffee or does that violate rules? what if you get sick, can you just call that in? SOMEONE TELL ME THE MUNDANE THINGS

gonna say something controversial but I want Star Wars publishing to do a little more with their book covers other than just slapping the main character on there. Think the Ascendancy trilogy. Or Princess of Alderaan & the Alphabet Squad trilogy where they played with the design.
Obi-Wan calling Vader "Darth" instead of Vader when he tells him goodbye is so powerful because he doesn't grant Vader the satisfaction of being called by name, he reduces him to what he has become. Not a person but a mere vessel to the Sith.

anyways reminder that no rancor, zillo beast, acklay, nexu or nameless is a true villain of star wars, they're merely animals following instincts and/or instrumentalised by the real villains
let's take a moment to appreciate Avar's character development because that is definitely not where she mentally ended up by the end of phase I. I do wonder if she'll return to her philosophy though.
Avar Kriss. Ty Yorrick. Lourna Dee. Keeve Trennis. Lina Soh. All women mostly written or fleshed out by Cavan Scott. The range is incredible, and each of them is so different yet strong and authentic in their own way.
happy one year anniversary to the release of The Rising Storm by

! Truly one of the best works of Star Wars literature, and considering how much I still think about this story, I think it's safe to say it already passed the test of time. For light and life! โจ
one thing I think is so beautiful is how much of a home the bunker has become to us. no, the lights never went out in the bunker. each night, some of us find ourselves wandering through its hallways, cooking in its kitchen, researching at its long table +
today on "things I never thought were possible": my name credited right next to

because I was granted the absolute pleasure of translating Starlight: Shadows Remain for German readers. I admire your work and I hope I did it justice. This was a dream come true. ๐
hey just a very small tiny little suggestion in case anyone official is reading this, I think The High Republic twitter should be invited to a special screening of The Acolyte
Light of the Jedi is trending so can't go to sleep before reiterating that this novel is a masterful piece of storytelling and achieved what not a lot of other books have - setting up an entire era while still feeling like home and also reading like a piece of art.
Legend has it that if you say "I want a magic cape" in front of a mirror at midnight three times Benedict Cumberbatch will appear behind you and tell you "It's called a cloak."
the way Katee Sackhoff portays Bo-Katan is so mesmerizing. Her posture looks submissive, yet ready to attack, like a cat waiting to lurch once you break eye contact. And the way she fixes people with her gaze is enough for her not to need dialogue, it's incredibly captivating.
I don't know how I'm supposed to do 30 more pages of this but I love her characterization and how Charles Soule writes her SO MUCH. what an arc. I can't wait to see where it goes.
imagine not being a High Republic fan and not getting a freaking surge of excitement and fear and frenzy every time even a sliver of news of your faves drop. imagine not getting that rush of adrenaline when big news about them drop. imagine missing out on that. must be sad.
