Rudy crossed the rainbow bridge last night after a hard fought battle with bladder cancer. His last moments were spent in my arms with me petting his head telling him he was a good boy.
Iβm forever changed thanks to his love and companionship.
Goodbye, Roo. Daddy loves you. π
The snowbanks in the Wildcat lot at

are getting absurd. My brother is visiting from Rhode Island and has never seen anything like this. π±
We need to talk about
@CandideThovex
's zero spin shifty for a second. I've seen my fair share of tricks in the day, but this may be my favorite ever. The amount of control and style he has is incredible.
Now that Utah is a lock for the 2034 Winter Olympics I hope that we can make some progress over the next ten years to tackle our air pollution problem. This is the last thing we want to present to the world.
(Taken driving home from Alta today.)
Remember when you could just wake up and decide to go skiing?
Now youβve got to plan a week or more in advance for parking, deal with heinous traffic, wait for a bus thatβs already full, listen to resorts scream at you to carpool, only to arrive and wait in huge lift lines.
When you disobey the traction LAW you ruin the morning for thousands of people.
Ticket / fine these people out of oblivion.
How do I know this doesnβt have snow tires? I own a Model Y and it would never get stuck here with proper tires.
Man, how cool would it be if I started a consulting agency that serviced ski resorts and outdoor brands?
Oh, wait, I already did that last month and locked down one of the most prestigious resorts on the planet as my first client.
Anyway, more details coming in a few weeks.
Sell even more season passes, take away the parking spots, hire less employees, donβt groom anything, remove half the lifts, donβt even bother making snow, replace F&B with vending machines, tell your customers theyβre lucky for the opportunity to even consider going skiing.
Some of you have been wondering how Iβve been able to ski so much this season.
I was part of the big tech layoffs a couple months ago.
So, whatβs next?
I took this photo from the base of Homewood 8 years ago during the peak of the drought in California.
A reminder to enjoy every minute you can during great seasons like the one we're having.
If youβre wondering why the uphill lane in Little Cottonwood Canyon is moving at a crawl itβs thanks to this 2WD Mazda with Texas plates and βall seasonβ tires stuck before entry 1.
The very upscale

@AdamBarkerPhoto
when they tried to pay him in exposure for one of his beautiful photographs.
Brands, content isnβt free.
Also, get a load of their response to Adam in the last screengrab. Unreal.
We canβt find a way to fund traction enforcement, carpooling, and electric busses in Little Cottonwood Canyon but $729,000,000.00 for a gondola without enough capacity and an annual operating cost of $8,000,000.00 is totally in the budget.
Sure will look nice on The Olympics.
Hi, youβre not skiing LCC tomorrow.
@UDOTcottonwoods
is opening the road to downhill traffic in the AM to give people a chance to get OUT.
Temps are rising, this is an unprecedented snowpack, and weβre firmly planted in the danger zone.

If you need me Iβll be balling my eyes out reading Instagram direct messages from people saying I inspired them to come out because of the example I set in the ski industry.
