The idea that an African tech entrepreneur must build a startup for Africa is severely limiting and an effect of long-term conditioning. Building for the world is a valid alternative and if that’s what you want to do, go for it.

Dear founder, it's really hard to build the next neobank. Think fintechization instead. Fintechization of industries is layering fintech on an industry to drive digital adoption. Here are a few companies that get it.

As a founder, I have found audit companies clueless about how startups work. Nonetheless, audits are increasingly important for startups at all stages, no thanks to increase founder-related scams. Someone should build a startup-audit-as-a-service company. Investors will pay.
