No religion in Star Trek doesn't mean there's no religious people, it means religion is not the governing philosophy of the Federation/Earth.
Starfleet would let an officer wear a hijab if the officer wanted, but would never ban pork from ship replicators. Get it? *sips coffee*

Who has been both a man and a woman… She told her Klingon friend she has a new name and he accepted it.
look up “metaphor” “allegory” and “empathy” in that order.

Dave is forgetting that the audience decides what's funny, not him or any comedian.
If you are a comic demanding the audience's taste stay the same so you can do the same kind of humor you're tacitly admitting you are laois touch with what's funny.
Literally everything is behind plexiglass now, the pharmacy is always understaffed and doesn't have your prescription or vaccine when they say they do. Going to the pharmacy is one of the most painful things to do in this town.
It's amazing to me how the utter inability of Walgreens and CVS to run a viable retail business is driving the narrative that crime is out of control and cities are in dire straights. No, honey, Walgreens and CVS are in dire straits, because they refuse to hire enough people.
Not even Star Trek Lower Decks tried to explain how a drunk scientist hundreds of years into our future came to know about a song from 1968. Why does Zefram Cochran know "Magic Carpet Ride"? Wrong answers only.

Yea, all you have to do is carry the baby for nine months, give birth and go through the physical and emotional trauma all that entails and then drop the baby in a box and walk away. Oh yea and you still have to pay all those hospital bills.

Some sleep away camps were integral to preserving Jewish culture for Jewish americans.
Other than that it's a great way to get the kids out of your hair for a summer when schools out.

Remember the SNW pilot episode where Pike told the planet at civil war, “oh yea, *this* side is right and *this* side is wrong and shouldn’t exist.”
Except he didn’t, he said they both needed to choose peace and reach for the stars cause they had one world to share.

I don't know who said it but some GOP congressman opined "I used to think Fox News worked for us, but I realize now we work for Fox News."
It was also wrong because it's not the actors job to police the audience. it's wrong when Lillias did it, it's wrong when Patti LuPone does it. Acting is a job with clear responsibilities and house managing isn't one of them.
Ok I said three but I lied. What happened at hadestown wasn't wrong bc an actor couldn't "see" an audience member's disability. Thats an impossible standard. It was wrong because the way an audience member participates in theater is nobody else's business
I think Paul Wesley is the best Kirk since shatner and actually might be a better Kirk than him.
He's playing the character Gene wrote. Not inserting his ego into it.
Pine was the horndog "fan Kirk" that never existed, and his Kirk was a bit of a dolt sometimes.
@JayLender1
Mutants represent the next stage of evolution and humans fear their extinction. Mutant powers manifest randomly and people get hurt whereas Steve Rogers got his powers in a clinical setting, Dr. Strange went to Asia. Even Hulk isn’t a problem as he’s one person and is manageable.
@SiriusDrakeCGBI
Tawney was clearly less experienced on camera than Quaid but she knew she character and did a great job.
It was noticeable but not so much that I couldn't enjoy the episode.

It's approachable and fun. I actually feel empowered and capable when I play. It's the first battle royal I have wanted to keep playing after the first few rounds.

As a guy who went to college for acting, I can definitely say acting majors who are conservative and also bad actors start their journey to the crazy right wing pipeline when they realize how much being a soft bigot conservative gets you ostracized in creative spaces.
@ThomasonTown
I am in the minority cause I actually don’t think the prequel sword fights hold up. They look like they’re swinging glowing weightless pool noodles. We love them cause they were faster than the originals.
The sequel trilogy fights are better choreographed and more realistic.
My Facebook was hacked and honestly considering the dumpster fire that app has been the last 8 years I'm considering restoring my account and then just deleting it.

Someone want to tell them the ME has some of the most diverse skin tones and phenotypes and ethnic looks you can find in any place on earth?

X-Men is about bigotry and intolerance, those issues have a lot of other smaller issues that are all related.
So X-Men is about any issue related to bigotry and intolerance.

The show ended before the internal inconsistency of the setting could be made more apparent.
Also reducing Chinese to a fun flavor of the dialog with no chinese people present was weird. At least the translation people were Chinese and getting paid.
Can someone please explain why it is so important that a white male be a lead character in a Star Wars show?
In a sci-fi setting where social constructs such as race are wildly different?
There are no "white people" or humans in Star Wars.

Those states have state legislatures, house reps and senators to advocate for them on state and federal levels of government.
And ya know what? Yea the bigger states have more people and the needs of the many always outweigh the needs of the few.
Land doesn't vote, people do.
“Last Best and Final.”
Carol’s three favorite words — because they’re a classic unionbusting trick.
The WGA got “last best finaled,” and you know what we did? We kept right on negotiating for the AI protections we needed.
Because AMPTP rhetoric doesn’t change the facts.🧵
Reading The Hobbit at an early age definitely messed me up.
