Seems like he’s made some pretty smart choices. I, for one, wish I had become a multimillion dollar all-nba player instead of learning geometry.
Over their last 9 matchups, the Lakers have attempted 74 more free throws than Denver. More than 8.2/game.
Nevertheless, Denver is 9-0 with an average margin of victory of 8.7/game.
Without the refs these games would be massacres.
Josh Kroenke explains Jokic’s “dip” last March corresponded to Perk’s racist comments and trying to get himself and the team out of the headlines. “Jokic is more aware than people think.” Josh is right.
Great interview

Click bait tweet, but nick’s reasoning makes sense. If you have to beat the nuggets anyway, may as well try it when you’re the healthiest and most rested.
Channeling the last time the nuggets got thrashed by a team led by Conley, Gobert, and a sizzling 50-point scorer and came back from a two-game deficit…

@GooglePixel_US
Jokic grew up playing point and Jamal grew up playing 5. This is why the two man game is so deadly. They’re both comfortable playing either role and understand what the other guy needs…
@HarrisonWind
I can’t believe how much I have grown to care about this guy and Serbian basketball in general. Much love to my Serbian friends, and condolences on losing a legend and all-around great human.

Now that the nuggets are first in the west, it will be interesting to see what excuse the media can come up with to give the MVP to anyone besides Joker.
@statmuse
Explain Jokic: he’s the guy who 4 points shy of a 40-point triple double and up 15 has KCP shoot tech fts bc KCP has slightly higher ft %. No stat padding. All about team. Mvp.

Over past 2 years, the Lakers average ~4 more FTAs per game than the next closest team (Knicks).
That ignores any non-free throw related officiating advantages that the Lakers also receive.
The fact that the Lakers still lose as much as they do is astonishing.
