Biden and the Ds have said for years that they would curtail fossil fuels and they have actively pushed for banks and funds to stop investing in companies that do not have a green push…..now they are terrified of $5 gas….this is only a second order effect, wait for 3rd & 4th
Just heard: At a meeting last week with Biden officials and oil executives: Administration is “terrified” of $5 gasoline in the US. After “begging” oil companies to produce more, one exec said, “Either you lied to us the last two years, or you are lying to us now. Which is it?”

Natural gas and oil refining make a number of other basic raw materials for industry, from glycol used in hydraulic fluid to plastics used in, well, everything from clothing to household goods to cars, and then fertilizer for farms.
They are still worried about the 2nd order 🙄
