This is my dad cutting hay in Nebraska. He will be 91 on September 2nd. He said that he had to get the hay cut before it burned up as they are currently in a drought. My mom thinks he's crazy (probably because she has to pick up all the round bales and put them in the barn)!
This is a jaw-dropper, and it came from right here in Green Country!
Robert O'Ferrall says he captured this awesome image of the Milky Way Saturday night at the Tall Grass Prairie in Pawhuska.

Well if this isn't a sign from above, I don't know what is! A double rainbow outside the

The flooding is far from over and we've still got a long way to go... but let's hope this is a sign of better days ahead!

Many of you already know, but it is with great sadness I share that Clint Boone passed away suddenly on Sunday. We are all shocked.
His smile was warm and infectious, and he made immediate friends with everyone he met. He was, to put it simply, just a great person.
Dear
@newson6wxguy
. This summer, when the weather calms down a bit, we’d love to give you a

. You can have the entire museum and gardens to yourself for a whole day while we’re closed. You’ve earned it!

Clint was a proud OSU grad. He loved wearing orange to support his Cowboys.
So it was very fitting to see a beautiful orange glow in the Tulsa sky this morning.
Power outages by county at noon today. Approximately 300,000 customers out statewide, the large majority here in eastern OK.
PSO says they are experiencing "the most significant restoration event since the 2007 ice storm." It will likely take several days to fully restore power.
Wow. Our Oklahoma skies are truly hard to beat.

TULSA TORNADOES CONFIRMED:
Not one but THREE tornadoes touched down in the Tulsa metro area last night. 2 of them rated an EF-1 from near Sapulpa to the Arkansas River. An EF-0 was also confirmed near Broken Arrow High School. A swath of wind damage was noted across south Tulsa.
Holy moley! Check this out. Shanna White made this unbelievable birthday cake for her son Jack.
She said Jack wants to be a storm chaser one day, and he’s been asking for a tornado cake for 10 1/2 months... well she delivered and THEN some! 🌪🎂
Instead of tracking more nasty severe storms, we got to enjoy this fantastic view at sunset time! What a wonderful change of pace for once.

IMPORTANT: Seminole county cannot sound their tornado sirens because of the power outages. If you know anyone in Seminole please give them a call right now to make sure they are aware they need to be taking their tornado precautions right now.

You don't need to be a meteorologist to know that you need to get off the lake when you see this flying saucer coming at you! If you are currently at Grand Lake, we ask that you get off the water at this time for your safety!

This news hits hard. Coach Trimble was truly one of the finest men you could ever meet. What an amazing faith he had. What an outstanding leader he was.
Praying for the Trimble family.
Our hearts are heavy.
After his courageous fight against ALS, our dear friend Allan Trimble passed away peacefully this morning at St. Francis hospital. He was surrounded by his family.
His legacy of faith, family, and football will never be forgotten.
More details to follow.
Today was a very, very special day at

Gunner King has a rare genetic skin condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa. It is very painful to him but he never lets it slow him down. He's always wanted to be a meteorologist and now he's an OFFICIAL member of our weather team!
If you're tuning in for

at 10pm tonight or on Sunday AM, you'll see a statewide newscast from sister station

in OKC. Our studio here in Tulsa is temporarily closed & is currently undergoing a deep cleaning after one of our co-workers tested positive for COVID-19.
Anxiety is high about Monday's severe weather potential, and understandably so. But remember:
Don't panic. Plan ahead. Stay informed through the day.
We're all hoping the higher-end severe potential doesn't pan out. Some may miss out. But being prepared is always best.

We will see a decent day on Sunday with temperatures around 50°. Early Monday morning a fast moving system brings us a chance for rain and maybe a mix north and east of Tulsa. No major impacts expected Monday.
We've had several reports of this really strange sight in the sky this evening. Did you see it?
Sounds like this was from this evening's SpaceX rocket launch!
Take a look at this MASSIVE hailstone from Salado, Texas earlier today! This hailstone measured in at nearly 6 inches... the largest hailstone ever documented in the U.S. was 8 inches.
