I really love the work I do but after almost 7 years of working and living in NY and making no waves I’m close to giving up and switching paths. I can do anything but people don’t seem to believe in me the way I believe in myself
hiiii I’m a queer artist in Brooklyn and I’m selling prints of my photos for the first time. please check em out on my website and support a small business this pride month 🌈
I don’t think a lot of people realize this but Tanner has had such a big impact on the visual language of drag. Their portrait style has become the default for like everyone, I see it emulated constantly
That wasn’t shade, just an observation that the work has had such an influence & reach that many drag artists / photographers emulate the Tanner style in their portraits because it’s been established now as the standard of excellence in the field
I’m comfortable with he/him, she/her, or they/them! & I hope one day they/them becomes everyone’s default when referring to someone who hasn’t explicitly told them their pronouns. Practice it! It’s easy ✌️
