So since the “Step Back” Manny Machado, Bryce Harper, Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, Marcus Semien, Corey Seager, and Juan Soto among others have been available as the Mariners cruised along as fringy contenders on reduced payroll and empty promises. Time to sell the team, boys.
@nathan_h_b
I would trade my Phillies roster for yours in a heartbeat.. your roster looks like the future my Phillies roster looks like it's 1950 . Hopefully the mariners win the world series. God bless
@nathan_h_b
I'll listen to some games next year, I may watch a handful, but my ability to attach any emotion to this organization other than anger is gone. Mariber.
@nathan_h_b
Frankly, i’m scared… honestly scared by
#Mariners
events of past 12-18 months & heightened these last 8 wks
I think Selling will be the response to Public Anger followed by Lost Attention - say 2026
Then, every excuse to sell ala SonicsGate… & Bye-Bye Baseball in Seattle 🤔
@nathan_h_b
Ya but… buyers would expect a bargain price and, ownership, sees the team as a huge asset! Sell the team now to a winner both in business and in sports, that has a true love for baseball and community!
@nathan_h_b
The real problem is that those players didn't want to come here. Seattle is a tough sell on any FA. The Rays model is a solid follow w/an uptick in payroll tbh. Build the farm & develop talent of the relative same age, hold onto a few of the great ones (JRod, JP, Castillo, etc).
@nathan_h_b
Nathan in your opinion would Jerry have signed Robbie Ray to his deal if he knew payroll was going to be this low for 2024? It's time to sell for sure imo
