I hope Jarred Kelenic hits moonshots in the PCL’s weird ass parks, befriends an old groundskeeper who imparts some sagely advice about life’s hard lessons, has a good 4-6 week training montage-type time in Tacoma, then comes back to the bigs and is the star I believe he can be.
1) I actually find him a sympathetic kid despite him being a rich midwesterner who almost certainly [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] and want success for him because he seems to really care
2) almost every scenario involving the Mariners winning a World Series involves him being great

He really just needs the time and lack of pressure to find the swing that lets him see all the pitches and get his power into the barrel.
I agree, a Bull Durham for batting would be just what he needs.

If Kelenic is still with Tacoma during their next visit to Salt Lake City, I WILL be there to cheer him on and watch a big leaguer play. Missed him as he got called up last year just before they made it here.
