A contingent from Nashua Fire Rescue is in Appleton, WI this week inspecting these two new engines. They will start responding to incidents in the Gate City in a month or so.
E5/E1/L1 operated at this motor vehicle accident with fire on Amherst St involving a Tesla vehicle. This type of incident requires an extended on-scene time for our companies. Thank you for the civilians who assisted the occupant to safety.

A brief ceremony was held at headquarters station this morning. Chief Brian Rhodes administered the oath of office to Assistant Chief Steve Buxton. Steve' s badge was pinned on by his wife Heidi.
Welcome to Gregory Johnston. His home town is Ayer Mass. And he spent six years in the Navy serving on the USS. Ronald Reagan. Gregory is one of fourteen recruits currently in training to fill vacancies at NFR.

VFW Firefighter of the year Joe Hebert was presented a proclamation and plaque in recognition of the award. A great choice for a great firefighter. Due to the Covid pandemic, the VFW was unable to hold the annual awards event. Congratulations Joe, proud of all you do!

Harrowing footage shows bystanders rescue a 97-year-old woman as flames consumed her New Hampshire home.
Afterwards, one of the rescuers went into cardiac arrest, with the person who recorded the event performing CPR. He is now recovering.

The newest edition to the NFR fleet. 2022 command vehicle. This truck is used by the shift commander Deputy Chief and Deputy’s Aide. It responds 24/7/365 throughout the City and mutual aid.
Engine 6 was visited this afternoon by Nashua's own Scott Justeson. Scott recently returned home from the Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando Fl, at which he competed in various weightlifting competitions and was awarded 4 Bronze medals.

Members operate at a 4th alarm on Harbor Ave. Companies had advanced fire conditions upon arrival with fire extending into a second building. Thank you to all of our partners for their support and assistance during the incident.
