Next Stop Aldridge! 😆🚆
Against all the odds and after more than 9 years of campaigning thanks to the foresight of Mayor Andy Street a train station will be returning to Aldridge for the first time since 1965.
It was good to be able to meet the community Rehabilition Alliance in Parliament.
I also met Kate Tantam, a specialist Sister of ICU Rehabilitation who founded the
#RehabLegend
campaign.
The real star of the day though was Poppy – the very wonderful & hard working therapy dog🐾
Why do people carry knives? Is it peer pressure, fear, or not knowing the consequences?

Spotted last week - another fabulous Post Box Topper in Pelsall from the amazing Nikki Billard. I just had to share this!
It's also a great way to advertise the latest production from Pelsall Musical Society due to be staged in June.
Absolutely gutted to be so near, yet so far.
It has been my honour to serve citizens in the WM for the last seven years, and I hope I have done it with dignity & integrity.
I am proud of what we have achieved together and I hope my successor can build upon it.
Thank you all.
Massive well done to Aldridge- Brownhills candidates. A great result here across Walsall Borough that includes a gain in my constituency. First time ever all wards are blue in A-B 💙👏🏻👏🏻
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the brilliant & dedicated activists who have braved the wind, rain and even hail to spread my ambitious plans to every corner of the WM these last few weeks 💚
It really means so much, thank you 👏🏻
This election couldn’t be closer, I need your support to continue to deliver my ambitious - and funded - plan 🗳️
✅ 425,000 NEW jobs & training opportunities
✅ TRIPLE the number of social homes being built to 1,700 a year
✅ Expand the Metro even further
And so much more 📈

We’ve achieved a lot together👇🏻
The best ever Commonwealth Games, 235,000 jobs and training opportunities created, leading the U.K. on housebuilding, & much, much more 📈
But there’s still more to do. So on Thursday place your trust in proven delivery & financial competence 🗳️
Birmingham Labour’s Mayoral candidate refused to publish the cost of his plans - now we know why 👀
£1.7 BILLION of unfunded promises, adding an extra £1,900 onto council tax bills 👎🏻
Birmingham Labour bankrupted their city council and have set their sights on the whole region…
It has been the honour of my life to represent & lead the region I call home ❤️
We’ve achieved a lot together, but there’s still more to do 💪🏻
From celebs to businesses, media personalties to community leaders, it’s great to have so much support for my financially-sound plans👇🏻
President Biden’s budget proposal calls for an increase in capital gains tax up to 44.6%! This would be the highest capital gains tax the US has ever seen.
There’s more: it also calls for a 25% tax on unrealized capital gains.
It’s only for households worth at least $100…
⬇️ Proof of how close the election is here in West Mids!
So much already achieved under
@andy4wm
's leadership - & much more we can deliver.
Labour's candidate doesn't mention Aldridge-Brownhills in his manifesto.
When it's this close
- voting for anyone other than Andy = Labour.

Another busy day today campaigning in Aldridge, Wolverhampton and Halesowen.
With our police force in special measures, police stations facing closure and the highest rate of knife crime in England & Wales, I’m campaigning to bring an end to Labour failure on crime in the WM.
