Declan Hannon becomes the first man to lift Liam MacCarthy four times as captain!
Cian Lynch becomes the first man to lift Liam with a pink cap on (backwards) 😂
Abiding memory of Joe Canning is a crunch Fitzgibbon game against UL in 2008, strained his hamstring early and was coming off with an All-Ireland club semi 10 days later.
Is walking off when ball goes out for a sideline, proceeds to nail sideline and exit! Different class

You never know what some people are going through behind closed doors
Great to see the man of the match opening up👏
Baby we done it!

Thanks to everyone for getting involved, couldn’t have done it without all the support 💪💪
Next weekend's Leinster/Munster hurling games - none of them on terrestrial television again!!!
Cork v Limerick and Carlow v Kilkenny both on GAAGO next Saturday!
So that's two weekends in a row without hurling on RTÉ - that just beggars belief for the product that we have!
One thing being brave enough to throw your hands at a hurl and a sliotar in full flight, another thing actually putting your hands right in on top and breaking your opponent's hurl, savage!
A cracking photo here in every sense from a recent
@carberygaa
JAHC semi-final, as
@clongaa
's Eoin Ryan puts his body on the line to block a shot from
@BalGAAofficial
's Brian O'Donovan, and manages to snap the hurley in two as well! Credit to Paddy Feen for a top-class photo.
Huge admiration for the All-Star hurling committee making the correct call by picking Mikey Butler at No 2.
Seán Finn is the best corner-back in the country (and could go on to be the best of all time) but Butler had a marginally better season and deserved his spot!
#allstars
I know common sense and the GAA do not often go hand in hand but making John Keenan retire from county action at the end of this season because of his age really takes the biscuit!
Brilliant performance yesterday (as always) - change that referee rule NOW!!!
Thanks in advance.
Quaid (34), M Casey (28), D Morr (30), Nash (27), Byrnes (29), WOD (28), Hayes (26), DOD (28), Lynch (28), Hego (28), Reidy (29), T Morr (28), Gillane (27), Flanagan (26), P Casey (26).
Finn (28), Hannon (30), O’Neill (21) and A English (20).
Those boyos ain’t going anywhere!
Hearing great news coming from Limerick this evening - Mike Casey’s injury last Sunday is not nearly as bad as first thought!
Some damage to his knee but not his cruciate - nothing that a couple of months of rest/rehab won’t cure!
Finally some good luck for him💪👌
TJ Reid, Eoin Reid, Colin Fennelly and Mark Aylward have now won 6 All-Ireland club SHC titles and sit ahead of every club on the roll of honour, bar their own Ballyhale Shamrocks of course! Let that sink in for a minute!
No Rory Beggan, no Darren Hughes, no Conor McManus, no Karl O’Connell, Kieran Hughes retired and Karl Gallagher gone to the AFL - same old Monaghan!
They are something else - doesn’t seem to matter who wears the jersey!
Jamie Wall always gets the best out of what he has at his disposal - only a matter of time before he’s on an inter-county sideline!
You’d have to be delighted for the man🙌
The Joe McDonagh Cup draw was made six months ago and still the five competing counties don't even know the dates/times of their fixtures, how in Jaysus is that possible? An absolute shambles of a set-up
This match will be talked about for a while.
Quality entertainment. Fair shout to
@SmallerFishGAA
for getting Bubbles O'Dwyer in for a regular slot.
Can recommend 👍
Tipp v Waterford in a nutshell:
Had a great chat with Paul Kinnerk about his game-based coaching style, the thirst for self-improvement, his glittering CV, how football shapes the small ball, club passion and loads more for tomorrow’s

So brave of the Quirke family to speak so openly about Dillon’s passing - his legacy will live on forever through the Dillon Quirke Foundation.
All proceeds raised will go towards screening all GAA players from the age of 12 in every club in the country
Jesus that crew of Offaly lads are just different gravy! They really stepped up after the sending off: Kavanagh, Ravenhill, Dan Bourke, Egan and the one and only Screeney!
Heroes all - Hon the Fairhful💪💚🤍💛
All four Waterford goals hit into the ground before rattling the net, definitely something that has been coached into them by Cahill and Bevans!
So difficult for a keeper to save and a lesson to all forwards - top corner looks great but don’t give the goalie a chance!
Fair play to the LGFA parading 40 winning captains at half time of the senior final while the kids’ games are still going ahead either side of them!
That’s how it should be done
@officialgaa
He may not be the flashiest but Dan Morrissey is as consistent and honest as the day is long!
When the game was really in the melting pot, he won some huge duels with Conor Whelan and set the tone that others later followed!
Dan the Man always delivers!
Grew up idolising Ciarán Carey for his genius on the pitch, but admire him even more now for his deeds as a counsellor off it!
Pulls no punches on addiction, cocaine in the GAA and why it’s never too late to seek help in tomorrow’s

The hurling championship has been unreal so far and it was always going to be!
So how in God's name are the two games next weekend (Wexford v Galway and Waterford v Tipp - both on Saturday) being shown exclusively on GAAGO????
RTÉ showing Munster/Connacht SFC finals on Sunday!
A lot of various theories as to why Rob Hennelly’s ‘45 was retaken but Conor Lane’s body language here definitely suggests that he didn’t want it taken in the first place because of what’s going on behind the kicker.
He has his hand up to stop the kick right before it’s taken
Limerick had only 0-5 on the board after 31 minutes and they proceeded to score another 0-25 for the remainder of the game!!
Outstanding team - their best All-Ireland yet given all the setbacks along the way!
Four-in-a-row and no end in sight!
It’s fair to say John Kiely enjoyed that - celebrating in the Hogan Stand with Liam Mac like a lad in a night club, ya gotta love it!😂
What a manager he is, negotiated choppy waters this year in some style!
13 from 13 in finals under his watch😱
Was just chatting a staunch hurling man there and he made a cracking point, it’s a crying shame that Tipp v Clare is not on RTÉ today if for no other reason than we will be totally swamped by football on tv when Munster/Leinster hurling action is over!
Mad scheduling really!
Joey Holden was that good today that Ballygunner had to move Dessie Hutchinson off him! MOTM for Ballyhale, SOK overall MOTM!
Holden so under-rated but always delivers the goods, a rock on the edge of the square!
Got sent this today:
@BallyhaleGAA
have won 40 of their last 42 knock-out championship games and lost the two games by a point (Ballygunner in 22 and OLG in 23)!
5 Kilkenny SHC titles in a row, 4 Leinster titles in a row, 3 All-Ireland titles won along the way!
Mental stuff!
“My first reaction was that I was kind of happy for Richie Hogan.”
Aaron Gillane on Hogan’s levelling point in the All-Ireland final - this oozes with respect
O’Loughlin Gaels survive by 1 after an absolute thriller against Cushendall!
Two absolutely exhilarating All-Ireland semi-finals, what an outstanding advertisement for the brilliant club game that we have!🙌

Brian Cody commenced his 24th season as Kilkenny boss yesterday, here's what he said when asked if that longevity was hard to believe:
"I'm not sure about the mathematics there, I haven't checked it out but it's the start of this year and that's all I know."
Have triplets ever played senior county together before?
Amazing achievement by the Daly trio from

The fact that a fourth sister also played is all the more remarkable
