Had more then a few D2 coaches mention to me some 2019 prospects are not very responsive to them, and these are players without D1 offers. Unless u plan to walk on D1-i would say not responding is a horrible move, they move on when guys don't respond-lot of good players out there

2020 Prospects if you are feeling like recruiting is not going well for u currently. Keep in mind you have your whole Sr. Year ahead of you. The majority of players cant sign until Feb 2020. Plenty of players go into Sr year with no offers and it works out Great. Stay Positive

A little high school in NJ- Rumson Fair Haven- 700-800 Students- 10+ of the seniors will play college football 5+ at the D1 level. You don't need to go to a private school to get a football scholarship-that's a myth- u just have to ball out and work hard in school

If your coach ever has to tell you to turn it up a notch/try harder/ go full speed/play to the whistle/stop jogging on the field. Forget D1- possibly forget college football. If u need a coach to tell u to go full speed you will not last a day in college.

Possibly an unpopular opinion: If i had a son who had a 1.5 GPA heading into senior year, the chances of me paying for any kind of football training for them would be zero. Would pay for tutors and SAT/ACT prep courses. Work out with team/on own. -Just an opinion

2020 guys-Unless u are an FBS scholarship player now, your recruitment will go well into your sr year, after your Sr season and up to Feb. or later. Its a Long Process. Unless D1 u can't sign until Feb 2020- and a lot of guys decide after that. Your Sr year matters- as it should

Yes the 1st D1 Signing date is in a week and half. On the flip side-Recruiting continues until and beyond the next signing day in February. There will be hundreds of colleges( all sub D1) recruiting for the next few months. So while its difficult to have patience, things work out

Playing D1 is a great goal. I graduated college wanted to be a trader-wanted to work at one of Top investment banks, Goldman Sachs, Merrill ect- got shot down from all- didn't cry about it -got job at smaller firm-worked my way up- ended up working out great-its not where u start

Suggestion for Underclassmen looking to play CFB -really focus on your grades-more and more schools are going the partial scholarship route- u don't have to be a 4.0 GPA student, but the difference between a 2.8 GPA and say a 3.1 can be substantial as far as scholarship $

Cooper Kupp received a Full Scholarship to a D1/FCS Powerhouse program out of HS. While at that powerhouse program as a 4 Yr Starter he Averaged 107 catches 1616 yards 18.25 TDs per year. Not an “ underdog” “underrated “ story -but sounds good I guess

NCAA needs to seriously consider scrapping the recruiting model they had in prior years- Get rid of dead periods/quiet periods- players have not been able to visit schools in what will be 6 months- have not been able to be evaluated live- change is needed this year/now

Suggestion for college freshman football players , Camp is tough, football 24/7, practice/meetings/films all day. Try not to make emotional decisions and quit/look to transfer, mental toughness is as important as physical toughness during camp. Stick with it , it gets better

Sometimes the first offer is the best one- the Right Fit, not a "starter offer", not a "more to follow " offer- only takes one and first one believed in you without needing validation from other schools offering you first- i think theres something to be said for that

Players go to the schools they think are the best fit and that makes sense- i still think there is something to be said for the First school that Offers you. They had to truly trust their eyes and believed in your ability- i personally think thats worth something

Just my 2 cents- when it comes to choosing a college to attend- Don't worry about anyone "respecting your decision"- who cares what outsiders opinions are- the only one that has to respect the decision is You- your family- anyone elses opinion is irrelevant

..My father,had to pass up all the opportunities and scholarships he got to work 2 jobs at 17 to support his family. Later in life i asked him- u ever feel like u got the shaft that u could of played D1 basketball or pro baseball.. looked at me said..no.. had to support my family

With PWOs- u need grades. In most cases u need to be able to get into the school on your own- no assistance/support from athletic dept. Sub 3.0 GPA pretty tough to get a PWO- good grades- better shot at one

Prospects that don't respond or wait 2 days to respond to college coaches DM- other prospects are eating your lunch and taking your offers. You might be a good ball player- but there are a Lot of good ball players in the country. Don't slack on this stuff- especially this year

2020 Guys- update your films, some guys are good at this- some are awful- have not updated since Sept- fellas its Really hard to get a scholarship- don't make it harder. Or keep waiting , finish the masterpiece film by Christmas time when there are no scholarships left

Suggestion for Prospects: Respond to college coaches that contact you in a timely manner, regardless of what school, what level. This seems kind of obvious but Many don't do it. Being organized and on top of things with recruiting helps.

If you currently have no D1 offers- well u have until February or beyond to make your college decision. Are there late D1 offers that go out- yes- will u be one of them- its out of your control-nothing u can do- just keep talking to the schools recruiting you- take visits etc

College Freshman- Camp is tough , first time away from home for most, practice/meetings/films from 6am-10pm for 2+ weeks and u are no longer that all star u are at the bottom trying work your way up the depth chart. Tough it Out, Don't Quit, Don't try and Transfer- Stick it Out
