also everyone knows the answer about "why Drew Barrymore is like that" is literally "because she had a delayed and traumatic childhood marred by addiction and neglect and then through lots of therapy and self-work has become more appreciative/aware than a regular person" right

she went into therapy at 13, spent time committed and was emancipated and living on her own at 15. So yeah. I must assume that making it to 47 with your own talk show, cosmetic line, production company, a celebrated movie career, and two happy kids makes you a little joyus.

Been a fan of hers since she was an itty-bitty like me in the 80s. I've seen so many child actors' lives ruined, many I was a fan of. Devastating to watch. I'm loving this Happy-Go-Lucky-Having-Joy Drew Barrymore *more* than anything!

Money may have given her access to fixes and resources middle class and poor don’t have but so what? How many rich ppl never avail themselves of those resources to heal? She did. Why is she not an example of why ALL ppl of ANY wealth level should have access?

I survived cancer, and I feel happy just looking at the sky, and many times when I walk I marvel at the joy and miracle that is walking. And playing in the rain is awesome, Drew is right and her joy is wonderful
