I’ve been meeting people who chat with me about global politics and seem well-informed but don’t know that a brutal war is raging in Sudan. I’m not surprised, but it hurts every time.

It’s the common theme for me as well. They don’t know about Sudan or Congo or Haiti. The common denominator seems to be that they’re African countries or Black.
@minlayla77
I've personally written 23 stories about Sudan since the beginning of the war, all published in Canada's national newspaper, many on our front page, plus thousands of posts on social media. We will not give up on this.

Thank you so much Geoffrey! The work you are doing is so critical! I wish there were more people like you. Even if access is difficult amplifying the stories of journalists like
@qoga12
@hiba_morgan
and others would be great!!

It is shocking how very little mainstream media coverage we see given the scale of those impacted. We do need to be more tactical when posting by copying media figures to support us raise the awareness.

Many of us are aware but don't know what we can do to help besides try to filter out the truth from propaganda to get an accurate understanding, and because we get little to no confirmation from ppl on the ground we are not confident enough to speak on the issue.

Same here. I guess the mainstream media says nothing about it. Those of us who care seek other sources. But it does hurt every time.
