Nebraska just beat the No. 1 team in the country on the road with its No. 4 starter (maybe?), missing the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, running the bases like it’s downed at least four Elk Creek pitchers in an hour all while its shortstop pitched the final 4.2 innings.
Baseball!
Lamar Jackson fights tears heading into the locker room.
In a lost year of Nebraska football, he turned himself into a good player. Lots of respect for him to stay and fight.
Nebraska, a school by all accounts has taken COVID-19 seriously and was buying its own rapid testing before a conference mandated one, is the one getting shit nationally and not any place that’s had outbreaks.
All because it has audacity of wanting to play like everyone else.
Nebraska's kicker, Matt Waldoch, went three-for-three tonight.
Two months ago he was playing club soccer at Nebraska and working at Leadbelly.
What a weird damn season.
I'd like to see a side-by-side comparison of the interference call on JoJo Domann in the Michigan game and the final offensive play for Nebraska against Wisconsin today.
And then an explanation on how pass interference works.
This is an important picture to me.
My dad had a pretty miserable last year. A stroke stole his ability to capably handle simple functions combined w/ return of lymphoma.
Yesterday he went to range and swung a club during physical therapy for first time.
Never stop fighting.
Constantly berating, belittling, bemoaning the people who play football for the college team you've chosen to care about and cheer for says more about you as a person than those individuals as players.
There's never a reason to be an asshole as it relates to your football team.
This is going to "shock" some people, but early returns from the recruits who visited saw an atmosphere that they loved, a team that has to get better and an opportunity in Lincoln.
Because this is how recruiting works.
Last tweets (maybe) of the night: I hope people appreciate the Huskers have an athletic director and a football coach who show up to Nebraska events and want to be there.
Which sounds crazy, but we’re not far removed from that being a foreign concept around these parts.
There's not a bigger quote I've wanted to hear than Matt Rhule saying "Every player on the team is my guy."
Covered two different coaching changes where the conversation was about "getting their guys" so its refreshing to see a HC say everyone is his guy. That's real culture.
Congrats to the college football playoff on pointing out that not losing is actually worse than losing and being in the SEC.
And God speed to the people who will with a straight face carry the water for that decision.
Nebraska's defense held both Ohio State and Michigan scoreless in the first quarter.
Nebraska's defense held Michigan State to essentially nothing in the entire second half.
Nebraska held OU to 7 points in a half.
Some impressive work from Chinander and his group this year.
Just so we're clear: If the argument is Nebraska has to bring Adrian Martinez back to have a chance in 2022 - he's been outplayed by Aidan O'Connell, Artur Sitkowski and Tanner Morgan this year.
There are other ways to run offenses and potentially win games.
I am insanely jealous of the Nebraska fans making the spontaneous decision to drive to Minneapolis tomorrow and flood the Target Center for the first semifinal appearance in the school’s Big Ten history.
It’ll be a scene and likely an entertaining game.
Are we all going to overreact to this specific Nebraska basketball game? Absolutely.
But if any fan base ever deserved to simply over enjoy a sample size of one game featuring a team that looks to be the opposite of much of the program's history, it'd be this one.
So go crazy.
Noa Pola-Gates announces for Nebraska and Matthew Pola-Mao immediately recovers a fumble.
Clearly a sign he should join his cousin in Lincoln.

I don’t want this come across as hype because it doesn’t guarantee anything in terms of on-field success or even recruiting success, it’s merely an observation:
I’ve never heard recruits talk about a head coach the way I’ve heard multiple recruits talk about Matt Rhule.
Riley Van Poppel chose Nebraska over Michigan, Tennessee, TCU, others in June.
Why did he stick?
"Every program can go through a rough patch. One day it will be over and I’m going to help turn this program around.”
More following the Rhule visit (VIP):
I cannot think of a Nebraska assistant coach that I've covered as popular with fans, media, players and recruits as Mickey Joseph.
And it's not an act.
What have 247Sports analysts thought of Daniel Kaelin's Elite 11 showing so far?
"He has one of the strongest arms here."
"I think Nebraska got a steal here."
"I think Nebraska fans should be excited about Kaelin."
Much more here (VIP):

I'm afraid Mike Leach won't get the chance to read the outpouring of support. Hopefully his family can take solace in what he meant to the CFB world at large.
"Swing Your Sword" is a terrific book. It starts with a story of young Leach peeing on a dog. It builds from there.
Now that I've officially paid my fine I'd like to offer the following opinion: raise your damn speed limit, Iowa.
No one wants to be there any longer than they need to be.
Start a Group of Five playoff already.
Hell start it this year.
1. Cincinnati
2. Coastal Carolina
3. San Jose State
4. Louisiana-Lafayette
I'd watch those games. I know I'm not alone.
Nebraska, a Big Ten team, is playing other Big Ten teams, which to some people qualifies as "payback" because the program wanted to play football, and the conference is now playing football.
2020 is the dumbest year and it's not close.
🚨New Pod Alert 🚨
Overreaction Monday: Nebraska gets payback in Big Ten schedule release. The U shows signs of life. Small sample Heisman. An intense UTEP/ACU recap. Much more w/

I don’t think Nebraska fans are all that mad if the Big Ten makes the correct decision and allows Ohio State to play.
Any anger stems from the ridiculous, condescending national commentary that followed the request to play UT-Chattanooga or even Frost’s August presser.
But why should you complain now that the league that keeps doing the wrong things might finally do the right thing for once?
Nebraska and Ohio State have been on the same side through all this. So why be mad if the league realizing its mistake helps Ohio State.
If your national outlet is writing about how Nebraska should be thankful and shut up, maybe you should be examining why Wisconsin’s outbreak happened or Florida’s or Baylor’s in an attempt to learn things at places that were actually putting people in an unsafe environment.
My dad, who has been in a hospital or care facility since April 29, heads to Columbus to a new (hopefully temporary) place. His lone request is to pull into the driveway so he can see his dog for the first time in 3.5 weeks.
Never underestimate the relationship with pets.
Women's basketball plays at home at noon.
Men's basketball plays at Kansas State at 2.
Volleyball plays for a National Championship against Texas at 2.
Commits could start flying around at any time.
Have a day Nebraska athletics.
Cornerback Lamar Jackson going from routine punching bag to beloved Blackshirt is easily my favorite part of 2019 season.
Also a good lesson - book is rarely ever written on a player. So much happens between 18-23.
Free advice:
- Don't tweet at recruits regarding decisions.
- Don't tweet at recruits because you think they're throwing shade at your school of choice.
- Don't tweet at recruits because you think they're overrated and want them to know.
- Ideally don't tweet at recruits.
Felicia Tannor was busy at work when Scott Frost showed up wanting to talk about her son Caleb.
Instead of waiting the Nebraska head coach jumped to work cleaning up the cafeteria alongside her (FREE):

Big Ten officiating continues to be the most pathetic entity on Earth.
I hope Jeff Brohm goes bananas, but it's terrible that this crew will go call more games.
No one has received less from their punting unit than Nebraska football in the last month.
Absolutely crippling to be the worst punting unit in a conference full of elite punters.
Been a good last month for my dad, who turns 69 (nice) today, as he was able to get his first vaccine shot and his cancer is now in remission.
Hasn't been a great year, but thankful for it and many more going forward.
Two weeks ago a 1-loss Alabama needed what was essentially a Hail Mary on a fourth and goal to beat a .500 team, but they're definitively better than an undefeated Florida State team and more deserving to be in a playoff.
My dad went to the ER the last weekend in April because of a stroke. He was supposed to go home in May but had a setback.
Today he’s home to stay for the first time in 4 months. He’s apparently both nervous and excited. Duke (and the rest of the family) are quite happy.
This Matt Rhule hire was never going to appease everyone and there will be people ready to pounce if it starts slow. No need to try to argue through it.
Rhule is the guy. To me it’s an improvement. We’ll see how it goes.
