I rang Mum today and got weepy over how much I’m missing her and home, and how guilty I’m feeling for not being there with her. And she replied saying that she sees my absence as an act of love, keeping her safe. What an amazing woman I have as my mother. I’m ugly-crying now.

Sharaad and I came up with the name of the show #ConsiderThis and its tagline, while stuck in horrid traffic after work one day. We had hoped the tagline “Reconsider What You Know” would serve as a reminder to be open to perspectives that are different from ours. 💕

Feeling a bit broken inside after coming to this realisation — it’s now so common for me to hear the sound of sirens several times a day that I no longer flinch when I hear it. The thought that this could be the new normal makes me heartsick. 💔

@melisa_idris A Malay family with 3 kids is quite a rarity. I have seen families with 5-6 kids staying in low cost flats and live in even more dire circumstances 😖
