27 years of advising GP practices - yesterday was a low point. I simply don’t get how you can run a health service which is based on short term funding which commissioners can remove at a whim without consideration of the risks on services. The ICS world looks to excacerbate this

It’s happy to throw money on concepts , resilience , management jargon ... but won’t dare consider the resources needed to fund core services . It’s seems simple to me that if the resource went to the frontline you wouldn’t waste so much time and precious money

My practice ran for years a minor op and rectal bleed clinic with good results and high patient satisfaction at half the cost . CCG stopped as “ low priority “. Result? All on Gen surgery w/l now 3 years long.
