Today the #CJEU has largely declared Meta's approach to #GDPR "compliance" illegal. Meta is basically reduced to core services and consent for anything that goes beyond that. VERY good result as the CJEU (as before) simply applied the letter of the law.

(2) Most cases are stuck at the DPAs. We regularly have to sue DPAs (with costs €2k-5k on average) to get "free" #GDPR complaints decided. Currently 86% of our complaints are not decided. We now published all of our cases at ‼️ with statistics per DPA.

On Monday, the @EU_EDPB will issue three decisions on the @noybeu "consent bypass" complaints under #GDPR against @Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp). The @DPCIreland was siding with Meta (see here: ) but the other EU DPAs likely overrule them now.
