Someone posted a video. Some didn’t like it. So, a massive pile on, attacks: personal & professional. Didn’t like the video? Fine. But this response is v worrying. HTs’ mental health hasn’t been far from headlines recently so I’m really shocked/saddened at the response.

Our staff are certainly not foul. This is just awful. How very dare anyone say this. It is insulting to the work we do with thousands of children to transform their lives. This hideous comment is hugely insulting to staff, families and children in our trust and simply not true.

@Miss_Snuffy Most teachers are in an age group at no risk from CV. When the UK had 4,000 deaths only 35 were aged under 40 & most of those sad cases had pre-existing conditions. Kids need school. Parents need school to work. Schools must reopen.

Teacher retention will be an even bigger issue this year, which is saying A LOT! if you want to keep the best teachers, treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals.
