Anyone who thinks it is Donald Trump who has radicalized the left has not paid any attention to what has been happening in academia, Silicon Valley, newsrooms, and the arts/entertainment world for the last 25+ years.

Correct. This playbook was ready to assemble when I left the academy 1996, but I do think “millennial” habits of thought and pandemic catalysts flamed it up considerably into this incendiary melange, a weird and disturbing mix of Salem and Savanarola. Much more to follow.
