CG released its H2’24 results along with an investor presentation today. First look – Doesn't look good & results leave more open questions then gives answers. Here is my naïve read. Please correct me if I am seeing something wrong:
Distillation Column, used in Chemical process industries like oil refineries being transported. This is used to separate and purify different fractions from crude oil.

I don't think there is any correlation between parent korea and India Unit. Korea unit has 3% PAT and inconsistent revenue while India has strong growth and a good margin profile.
For me, Korean technical prowess + Indian labour arbitrage = Margin accretive high growth business
Trust fintech. Circuit open. Good opportunity to buy if you think they can replicate their success in US/Canada and add on to the 1 client secured. That is the key! Looking forward to the results. DYDD!

Now Co. has started qualifying so, direct projects to increase. Further, agreement with parent Korean - Indian projects done by Indian entity, global projects outside Korea by Korean entity,then subcontracted. So, a Korean technology prowess + Indian Labor arbitrage play. (7/n)

Coming to institutions, the company has had a very good anchor book. HDFC bank & India equity fund are two solid funds. Further, there is significant institutions demand as well during QIB. ICiCi bank and Federal bank participate as well in QIB. (12/n)
End of rant. I might still not do anything in the short term with the script as I don't sell my stocks well :| but this is a disappointing result and I don't see a concrete plan to growth after IPO yet. Hoping company can release some guidance for bottom line as well.

Out of 179 SME IPOs listed in Calendar Year 2023, 53(30%) are quoting BELOW IPO price as on 16.04.24! Many more are just above the neck! After the upcoming results, some more may Drown! Textile, Chem/Pharma, IT, Logistics, Real Estate have most failures. (list in images below)
Highlight Indian company had 54% of FY23 revenue from JNK Global (parent) could be cause of concern. Company says they couldn’t qualify for projects tenders until recently due to size, experience, and past track record and hence projects came via JNK Korea (subcontracted) (6/n)

Financials. Co. has healthy topline and bottom-line growth. 9M’24 topline might show slight degrowth at 256 Cr but large chunk of revenue (40 to 50%) gets booked in Q4 as companies clean books for the year and promoter hinted at a very good growth for FY24 (think ~500 Cr) (8/n)
company had solid response from institutions & subscribed 75x in QIB. Typically, QIBs love high growth niche segment expertise companies with stronger entry barriers and can have further interest at right valuation. The anchor list for IPO is also good for small size IPO (13/n)
IPO proceeds to be used for increasing office space from 300 to 600 employees. Already bought land and will construct an office there. Temporarily, move into a rented space but according to promoter, 22 months of rent will cover the building cost. So cost beneficial.

Market share – Basis FY 2023 orders in India, the company enjoys 27% market share in India and about 2 to 3% market share across globe in the segment valued at around ~USD 8Bn per year and hence, has a lot of headroom to grow. (6/n)

Hey naive question But if the company is going from 50 to 5000 cr, shouldn't the cagr show that picture?
Small cap remains small cap cagr is 7%
So, only a few perform big while mostly lag. No? I feel that is why stock selection is even more important in small caps. Thoughts?
At 175 listing price, PE basis annualized FY’24 earnings is ~28. Promoter guidance FY25 revenue Rs. 350 cr, PAT margin stabilizing at ~10% so forward PE of ~12 hence, has 25-40% growth left but considering execution risk I feel the company is correctly valued by the market.(11/n)

JNK India associate company of JNK Heaters (South Korean listed), holds 26% prior to IPO. Other promoter group - Mascot Capital, Goutam Rampally, Dipak Bharuka & Milind Joshi. promoter group is experienced with 20+ years in industry and IIT Bombay/Roorkee background. (4/n)
The company worked on warehousing solutions for a large 13 storey building height warehouse for HUL in Rural UP (Sumerpur) in 2022. It is the highest indigenous warehouse built in India which was inaugurated by HUL global CEO and CM of UP. (7/n)
This green hydrogen would fuel electric buses in Delhi soon which are already ordered by IOCL. So, the TAM in this segment seems to be insanely large if this clicks. The company is also trying to diversify to solar EPC. Who isin't? :P (12/n)
Crude industry a good proxy for heating furnaces, Stable industry installed refinery capacity grown at meagre 1% CAGR from 2011 to 21 (95 to 102 million barrels/day) Demand increased a lot more in developing countries & closer home. India refining capacity to double by 2030 (5/n)

Very valid pointer. The definition to qualify as a mid cap has changed (10x bigger) compared to 2018.
My stats professor would often say: if you torture the data enough, you can see your mother's face in it!
Shipping in sharp focus for govt & implemented measures such as Sagarmala, Bharatmala, PM gati shakti to reduce logistics cost. Clearance to paperless systems, faceless customs assessments, e-way bill provisions has helped. Small ports number also increased exponentially (2/n)
Racks & Rollers is an organized player in an extremely fragmented & unorganised storage racking systems fabrication. To understand storage racking, need to understand warehousing industry which evolved rapidly after GST reforms with consolidating of small warehouses. (2/n)
Anchor lists looks interesting with good names. UK based Belgrave investment (second investment after Exicom), Persistent growth fund (second investment after rocking deals) soft bank opportunities fund participated. Hoping this list would actually act as anchors (14/n)

Apportioning FY’24 bottom line, PAT comes to ~61 Cr & FY24 PE multiple at ~37.5 at IPO price (not listing price) might feel slight high but according to me is a very good ‘GRRP (Growth at right price)’ play. (9/n)

Company has shown Thermax and BHEL as competition. lot more diversified then JNK so not true comparable but trading at much higher PE. JNK can enjoy higher margin profile then competition due to in-house thermal designing capability & more optimized Engineering (10/n)

I would just say that percentage of bad apples in SME would be much higher in SME's than in mainboard. But then returns on finding and sticking with good apples would also be much higher. So, we need to be very selective while selecting a script in sme world.

100% agree with you regarding having a minimum ipo size for companies below which pre ipo by HNIs should be done to first make them IPO ready

To summarize, I like the company as the shipping industry is doing well with limited supply & chartering rates being revised so, growth in revenue/PAT logical until new supply comes in. Further co. is well diversified across different verticals and has a good promoter team (13/n)

Almost all costs are fixed (fuel, salaries, landing fee, maintenance) while all inventory is perishable & product completely homogeneous, so companies only compete on price. virgin Air CEO put it apt, If you want to be a Billionaire, start with a million & open an airline company

At list price of 294, FY’24 PE of ~28 which I don’t mind giving for a co. of this complexity, repute, & such strong industry tailwinds. But the market doesn’t seem to agree with script in LC. I think free float is large. So, LC’s may continue until some instis find value. (11/n)

Company was incorporated in 2010, has been working on building a brand, network, and relationships. A cursory look at linkedin, suggested it participates in various conferences, trade shows & exhibitions.

One more concern - high salary of Rs. 1.7 Cr drawn by promoters. Also, HQ of Creative graphics owned by promoter & rented by CG at Rs. 8 Lakhs pm. Note, CG rents building right next rented at ~Rs. 82k pm. So, asset not on company book and rent is 10x inflated to market. (14/n)
