Valorant takes less aim than most FPS titles.
But you will still suck if you struggle with mouse control.
Here's 7 tips that helped me (for beginner aim trainers):
Dead simple Valorant routine (adjust to your needs):
1. 30m Aim Trainer (No restarts).
2. 30m Range (My routine).
3. 30m TDM (Your agent).
4. Ranked but stop when tilted.
Rules:
- No autopilot.
- Accuracy: 100%.
- Focus: Your weaknesses.
Do this daily = You will climb.
Haven is hell if you have no plan.
You're gonna need one if you want to win in premier.
Here're 5 strats the pro's know to make Haven feel like heaven (works for any elo):…
Stages of Valorant:
Gold: Thinks everyone’s smurfing.
Plat: My aim is ‘good’ but gamesense bad.
Diamond: It will be ‘better’ now!
Asc: Terrified of being Dia again.
Immo: Thinks they’re literally the best.
Radiant: I am the top 0.000001%.
Pros: Ranked sucks.
Breeze is next up starting tomorrow in Premier.
I talked with some pros discussing the meta shifts and sauce.
Here's a basic breeze battleguide designed to easily gift you a premier win:…
Stop throwing your Lotus games.
Seriously, you don't have to aggro A every round...
Follow these 7 steps to carry your ranked games (even in solo queue):
1/ Have an efficient routine
Most peoples routines suck.
Get the best out practice out of the time you have.
I've created a range routine for students short on time, try it out.
• Substitute more training over ranked at start.
• Quality over quantity.
Valorants new episode starts in 5 days.
It's your opportunity to accelerate your rank:
- Get your MMR as high as possible (not rank).
- Start new episode warm and asap.
- Higher chance to snowball.
Everyones elo resets.
Starting strong with high MMR = New peak.
Stop putting so much pressure on yourself.
It's destroying your ability to perform in VALORANT.
Here're 6 simple steps to fix your mentality:
1. Stop obsessing over rank.
Seriously. Stop it.
• Improve 1 skill every game.
• Rank is a result of your skill.
• Mechs ->…
In 2030 aim training will be mandatory.
But 99% of Valorant players dont have a routine.
When I started I bought a tailored VAL routine from
@vF_AIMER7
.
It cost me $40...
but its FREE for 48 hours:
- Like
- RT
- Comment "Aim"
Must be following so I can DM
The problem:
You don't know what to work on.
Your solution:
Queue up the next ranked game.
The ACTUAL solution:
Implement these simple tips from my first 5 threads:
1/ Let your keyboard do the work.
• Its more consistent to draw a straight line with keyboard, than it is with the mouse.
• Better to overflick your target, and strafe onto the head.
• Best way to clear angles.
Premier players: This week it's Lotus.
You'll be able to take over your game if you have a basic plan.
Here's 6 simple strategies pro's use that you can steal to help you secure the win:
1. Strong agents:
Raze/KJ/Omen
Sure – Pro's use Astra too.
My advice?
It requires way…
3/ Instantly stopping when caught off-guard
This is why you always feel like you get one tapped.
The enemy has crosshair advantage on you, but yours is way off target.
• Keep moving so the enemy misses whilst you adjust your aim.
• Make yourself harder to hit.
1/ Consciously focus on the crosshair.
Wake up.
Stop autopiloting.
You can't improve anything if you aren't present.
Having bad CHP is fine.
But you won't improve if you don't notice.
- Practice in deathmatch.
- Take notice of your mistakes.
1/ Stop playing braindead angles.
Don’t play the most obvious spots…
Think about it,
Even a bronze will clear CT.
You will have close to 0% success rate of having impact like this at high elos.
So what can you do?
3/ Set goals.
You should identify issues, and work on correcting them.
This should be obvious,
But most of you are too bothered about your KDA or winning the deathmatch💀.
Instead, enter the deathmatch with a goal on what to improve.
When I was grinding ranked, I struggled with winning my fights.
I focused on improving my:
• Aim
• Peeks
• Movement
Literally nothing worked.
Everytime I peeked?
One tapped.
Sure, sometimes I’d pop off.
But it was random. I was in a slump.
I knew something needed to…
1/ Mouse Accel.
Check this even if you think it's off.
It resets every update.
How?
• Open start and type "Mouse".
• Additional mouse properties.
• Select: Pointer Options.
• Uncheck "Enhance Pointer Precision".
2/ Proportional Practice
97% of your duels in ranked involve movement, so practice it!
• Only stand still or 1 tap for 5% of your warmup so you are practicing proportionally.
• Implement a variety of strafes.
• 2 bullet bursts when counter strafing.
Stop wasting time:
- Watching Pro Games
- Learning Fancy Lineups
- Doing Inefficient Drills
Mechanics are your valorant foundation, and to build them you need a good routine:
5/ Stop losing your 1v1 Duels:
It’s just as important making the enemy miss, than it is hitting your shot.
• Mix up your strafes, you have more time than you think.
• Using wider strafes makes you a harder target to hit.
• Composure is key.
Types of Immortals:
1. The guy whos all aim but no brain.
2. The annoying IGL who can't shoot back.
3. The egirl who got boosted by a pro player.
4. The reyna instalock who runs it down then flames you.
5. The guy with a huge ego because he just hit Immortal 1.
What else?
VAL PLAYERS: Stop telling yourself you suck.
Even if you're joking.
It's like subconsciously choosing a negative skill boost.
You don't want to ACTUALLY suck do you?
Didn't think so.
Don't become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
9/ Composure
This is why you farm in DM and suck in ranked.
Most people shoot instantly without aiming,
You need to be like a shaolin monk in every situation.
@aleksandarosa
epitomizes this in the video below.
()
1.1/ Two main concepts.
You can turn the angle into an off-angle,
Sometimes its as easy as moving a tiny bit to the side…
or,
Peek on a timing.
Below you see an example of me reading the omen flash, and then peeking on timing...
Dead simple Valorant routine (even if you have no time):
1. 5-10m "Warmup" (See below).
2. 10-30m Range (Until warm).
3. 2x DM/TDM (Your choice).
4. Ranked but stop when tilted.
Warmup ideas:
- Aim trainer
- Jett knives
- Prac movement
Do this daily = More Wins.
2/ Slow down, and play methodically.
Most of you reading this are going TOO FAST.
You should be peeking every common angle properly…
You expect to get kills, but W every corner.
• Pre aim & Peek / Jiggle.
• Imagine going 10% slower.
• Remain composed.
2/ Give yourself time to react.
Even high elo players mess this up.
You want to give yourself room to react to a peek.
Most players subconsciously track the edge of walls when clearing the map.
Example:
Most players can hold angles - They give themselves time to react.
But their crosshair placement sucks when clearing the map.
The mistake?
They track the wall too tightly.
Its exactly the same as when you hold the angle.
You need to give yourself time to react.
Ranked hack:
Find a duo with a great attitude who shares your goals.
Its hard enough to win with bad teammates.
Its near enough impossible to win with tilted teammates.
No investment, huge returns.
4/ Don't always commit to shallow peeks
Think about it from the enemies perspective,
their crosshair placement is where you peek.
• Implement jiggling into your peeks to gather intel and bait shots.
• Wide swing sometimes (even better after they see your jiggle).
4/ Abuse your movement.
Simple drill to find out how:
• DON'T shoot the enemy.
• Outplay them with movement.
Be unpredictable,
Jiggle → wide swing is the easiest way to abuse players.
Do this for atleast 3-5 fights, and then add shooting back.
Example:
2/ Take better fights.
We’ve all been there,
You peek an angle, whiff, repeek, and you're 7 hp…
Then you reface and die.
Everyone knows you should play safe on low hp,
But it’s almost as bad to peek when the enemy know you are there.
Repositioning is king.
3/ Reading the game.
Stop filling spots, and just go where you think the enemy will go.
Its all psychology, if you destroyed the enemy on A,
They aren’t going A next round.
You need to kill their noobs, before they kill yours…
1.1/ What about Sound OFF?
Forces you to be ready for everything (or die).
Instead of “cheating” with sound.
More punishing when you perform mechanics bad = more development.
+ Get to listen to bangers.
+ Ready for everything.
- Can fall into Autopilot.
Most players can hold angles - They give themselves time to react.
But their crosshair placement sucks when clearing the map.
The mistake?
They track the wall too tightly.
Its exactly the same as when you hold the angle.
You need to give yourself time to react.
1/ Sound ON or Sound OFF?
Good for different things.
ON:
• Realistic fights.
• More info.
Don’t camp, or hold.
Take fights and peek the enemy when possible.
I love
@royalgftw
's benefits for having sound on below:
Things that lose you games in VALORANT:
1. Tilting
2. A big ego
3. No comms
4. Autopiloting
5. Bad teammates
6. Never warming up
7. Very little adapting
8. Too many overpeeks
9. Not trusting your instincts
Avoid as many of these as possible.
Split sucks without a plan.
If you want to win in premier you need to know the basics.
Here're 4 simple ideas that will guarantee you that premier victory (works for any elo):
1. Key areas.
Vents is
#1
.
Why?
Destroy sentinel utility.
Most teams will smoke off mail to…
3/ T-Rule
Stolen from
@royalgftw
but it explains it perfectly.
Pre-aim the angle through the wall and use the keyboard to step out.
If you do it already - chances are you don't stop your momentum and rush it.
Make sure you aren't too far back you catch on the wall.
3/ Improve your sleep and get sunlight
"Proper sleep has helped me get to where I am today." - Tom Brady (2019)
Getting the required sleep will be the single biggest factor on your performance.
30 minutes of sunlight per day will boost your cognitive and physical performance.
Most people suck at Ascent.
But it's never going to be easy with no plans.
Here's some strats & setups to get your team upto speed:
(Bookmark this to prac with your team)
1. Comp:
Keep it simple.
• Strong.
• Versatile.
• Lots of footage to copy.
It's a classic for a…
What are the pros are doing?
Ranked player:
- Rushing your shots and peeks.
- Perform mechanic at 60%.
- Violent snappy aiming.
Pro player:
- Deliberate clicking.
- Perform mechanic >90%
- Smooth calm aim transitions.
If you go too fast, you will never improve.
4/ Playing off a teammates contact.
Not only is this easy to do, it’s incredibly effective.
The minimap & vision cones of your teammates are your best friend when executing this play.
Effective to both peek off contact, or use utility.
”I’ll peek on you Jett” 👇
VOD review is one of the best ways to improve your game.
I'm giving away a 44 minute review I did for a student playing Chamber on Pearl.
It cost $40 but you can get it for free for the next 48 hours. Drop me a 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄, 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 "𝗩𝗢𝗗". Will DM.
3.1/ Crosshair Placement (CHP).
I will write a full thread on this in the future but…
Your CHP needs to be where the head WILL BE,
The goal is having to microadjust as LITTLE as possible.
Check how it can look:
Composure is underrated.
I remember one session I had with a student 3 months ago.
He was struggling to win consistently. Some games he popped off but it was up and down and he had no idea what to do.
But after the session everything changed..
@royalgftw
4/ Predict where the enemies will be.
There's situations where you know where two enemies are - or you can guess.
In the pic below Sova should peek off Raze's contact.
If you know this you can bait a shot at Raze - then hold for Sova to swing.
Having the best settings is crucial in Valorant.
- Max FPS
- Low input lag
- Optimal Keybinds
I go through every setting you'll ever need to compete in Valorant.

You probably struggle with inconsistency.
It's the
#1
problem VAL players face everyday.
In a few hours, 785 people will learn how to become a consistent player.
WARNING: It will require some effort from you.
Don't even bother signing up if you want a magic fix.
👇👇
3/ Perspective is everything...
• Closer you are to the wall the more your enemy sees.
• Peek from far back, but don’t scrape your butt on the wall.
• Aslong as you aren’t kissing the wall you’re fine.
"1 hour practicing is NOT fun."
It's not supposed to be.
It's discipline.
It's showing up everyday.
It's doing something that sucks because that's what you need to reach your goals.
Don't want to improve?
Just queue another ranked game then.
But let's get it straight.
If…
5/ Don’t play too perfect.
You are not playing a Tier 1 LAN Final.
If the enemy 5 man rush 90% of the time, and you always anchor until you see all 5 players…
You’re wrong 90/100 rounds.
Find the gaps and exploit them.
Overrotate based off reads as shown below.
2/ Don’t use the modes in the range
Either: You play Hard mode, train for impossible situations, and fast flicks.
(When 90% of the time you shouldn't be flicking)
Or, you play Easy, Med, or Eliminate 100.
Here it's too slow, inefficient and you can't practice fluidity.
3 years ago my aim sucked.
I had low ingame confidence, couldn't win duels and my KDA was suffering.
It's a terrible feeling but you can change it.
Create a solid routine that you can stick too, and show up everyday.
Perfect practice makes perfect.
7/ Chad steps
Stop clearing the map with unconfident steps, The enemy will see your shoulder…
Then you half step out after he knows you’re there…
• You can’t clear every degree.
• Clear the off-angles with “chad steps”.
• 15 tiny steps❌ 3-4 chad steps ✅.
Most common ranked teammates:
1. The one guy who plays brim only.
2. The jack of all fill agents master of none.
3. The ex-KJ egirl who now plays deadlock.
4. The guy who /FF's after throwing the pistol.
5. The guy who locks your agent and proceeds to run it down.
What else?
6/ Identify who you’re against.
Are you in a clutch vs a Breach with ULT?
Hopefully you noticed…
Low elo initiators with flashes are my favorite, they feel invincible because no one has ever dodged their flash…
Stand behind cover, and wait for the flash sound.
