To celebrate the twitter psychos going insane on my very milk toast and mundane take on Watchmen's Rorschach leading to my eligibility for monetization her on X - I decided to re-release my Superman video covering the idea of heroism!
It's strange that the Avatar discussion has devolved into the argument it did because some people can't handle the fact that Ozai ran his family on merit. They cannot grasp the possibility that Azula actually looked up to her father, idolized him, and WANTED to earn/maintain his
The real reason leftist SJW types love the X-Men is because the series is their ultimate power fantasy. The desire to be "oppressed" while knowing they are superior to their "oppressors."
This is also why I dislike the comics. What happens after that? "Current year" writers LOVE the trope of "man getting yelled at and having no defense." As if one little basic, rubber stamped retort was all one needed to shatter the guy's whole world.
In reality, Ozai should have
"If you have all the powers of Superman, what would you do?"
Answer: "Walk around and protest climate change while abusing my father's legacy for extra clout."
How to "media literacy"
-The bad guys are the good guys
-We are always the bad guys (US, humans, etc)
-"It's actually a satire of fascism"
-Disagreement = "you have no media literacy"
"No Media Literacy" = "You're a bigot" but for media discussion. ๐
It's because, while men get endless crap for "not knowing how to write women," no one points out that the Hollywood women pushing these "Strong Independent Female Characters" don't seem to understand men either.
Men like characters they can respect. However from Rey to other
Rorschach was the hero of Watchmen
The humans were the good guys in Starship Troopers
X-Men were NOT about civil rights.
Harley Quinn loves the Joker and just sees Poison Ivy as a friend.
Let's go!
Is it me or does the bad guy in this movie seem reasonable? Like the moral conflict is granting wishes on a case by case basis vs giving everyone everything. The only bad guy thing the king does is give an evil laugh and agree that he's handsome.
I've never seen a villain
Star Wars fans kept saying "no big deal" until one day their franchise was bland and ruined. It'll happen with video games too. The Frog, too, says "no big deal" to the rising heat until it finds itself boiled alive.
"You think you can just rewrite the characters and rules that the fans fell in love with, just to suit your own needs?! Think Korra, think! What will you HAVE after FOUR seasons?!"
If you don't understand why Watchmen's Rorschach is beloved and the actual true hero of Watchmen, then you've missed the point of heroes.

TLJ Luke was TOTALLY wrong in tossing the lightsaber on Ach-To. He NEVER would have done something like that, ever. Lightsabers are a Jediโs LIFE. SMH.
There is no word in elvish, entish, or the tongues of men to describe the utter humiliation this will no doubt cast upon modern western Star Wars creators when it arrives.
Let's face it. If a show was released today where a privileged rich girl from a developed nation who spent her free time fighting and humiliating working class chumps for fun, laughed at soy boys and loved building walls they'd call it a dog whistle that panders to far right
My favorite part about Manga dominating in America is that it shatters the whole "woke diversity" narrative. It's not diversity of race or gender that sells. It's diversity of story.
I'm convinced that modern creators don't want to actually make stories anymore. They just want to have characters saying emotional crap while looking angry or serious. ๐ค
Azula is another category of "sympathetic" villain that leftist types can't understand. This is why she "needs to have been abused." Easy "she was oppressed" is the only thing they know.
Azula is a different kind. She falls into a similar category as some Batman villains. The
if people cannot understand that Azula is both a very sympathetic villain and also someone who has agency over her own actions and continually chooses monstrosity....I know not to trust their opinion on basically anything else
Cell from Dragonball Z is one of the most dangerous and evil villains in the franchise. And he has the same smirk nearly EVERY woke SJW character tends to have.
Superman gives hope. He's not there to validate you. He inspires you to keep going and validate yourself.
"You're much stronger than you think you are."
Youโre proving Alan Moore right. This is why he hates people thinking Rorschach is a hero but in reality he is not and he never will be. I suggest you read the comic again and see why
Marvel is suing to hold onto the rights to Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Black Widow, and other characters
Heirs to comic legends including Stan Lee and Steve Ditko are trying to take them back

The story of Wonder Woman is the story of a woman being raised all her life in a society that hates men, only to leave and discover that men are actually so awesome that no level of indoctrination could convince her otherwise. ๐
I like how leftists are always: "It's okay to change the author's original work to fit a 'modern audience.' We must correct the wrongs of the past by altering fiction for today."
But the moment I disagree with their deity, Alan Moore about Rorschach, say X-Men is deeper than its
Wikipedia Communists smugly thinking Bruce Wayne would solve more problems by throwing money at Gotham's problems over becoming Batman, is the kind naive take that would come from Twitter and why American comics are tanking.
Azula being abused might be a feminist anti-father, anti-man power fantasy. But it doesn't make sense. In the show, she was rewarded, spoiled, and favored by her father, which is why she strived to make him proud and why she hated the idea of being treated like Zuko. Stop trying
atla fans crying bc azula's abuse is getting blatantly acknowledged on-screen and she's being shown in a sympathetic light, when they been saying for years up and down that she wasn't abused and doesn't deserve any sympathy
