Today an @AustralianArmy Blackhawk transported 7 new firefighters to Mallacoota, before returning to RAAF Base East Sale with 7 patients needing further treatment. Blackhawks have been deployed for several weeks assisting in search & rescue, and recon. Thanks to all involved.

What an honour it was to attend the ceremonial “Trooping of the Queen’s Colour” to celebrate the official birthday of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. It was fitting that it also marked Sir Peter Cosgrove’s last official duty in uniform as Governor General and Commander in Chief.

The first of two NUSHIP Supply ships has arrived in Sydney, marking the beginning of a new capability for the #AusNavy . The ships are part of the Gov’s $183 bn Naval Shipbuilding Plan & will provide operational support to deployed personnel who are far from ports for long periods

Three CH-47F Chinook helicopters arrived at RAAF Base East Sale last night. These aircraft, from 5 Aviation Regiment in Townsville, will commence tasking this afternoon to support firefighting operations as well as humanitarian assistance to remote and isolated communities.

Thanks to contributions from #YourADF , 2.6 million surgical face masks were produced by Med-Con in the last month. Med-Con has now hired and trained an additional 21 civilian staff, and ADF support has now ended. To our men and women who stepped up to assist – thank you.
