@ablgzva @WomanTreaty This almost NEVER happens in Central Asia. Women and girls are victim-blamed by everyone, relatives, society, specialists they come in contact with (police, drs, judges, etc). Violence is accepted as method of controlling females behaviour. This narrative needs to change.

Another example of husband/wife dynamics in Kyrgyzstan, Suzak. Case is from 2020. Husband got 2 yrs probation due to wide publicity which rarely happens. Her son was defending father, everyone pressed wife to withdraw complaint... 1 in 3 women is a survivor of VAWG worldwide.

Over the weekend I and Turkmen exiles checked out a new Uzbek restaurant in Wien called Ikat. Very good food, authentic, nice environment. Plov, shahslyk (OMG 😋), manty and samsy (were cut not ground meat). We all ate too much obviously and could hardly breathe.

Human tragedies.Tajik family crossed Ukr/Pol border. Mother (7 months pregnant) was detained, father let go with 2 and 3 year old daughters. He spent next days searching for her. We & HRDs in Poland did too. Today he was arrested. We can't locate the girls now either. @PolandMFA
