I’ve been an NRA member for years and this was eye-opening for me. If their standards are this low then it’s not an interesting endorsement for me to pursue. Those in the know are aware that there are more effective 2A groups out there and I will be seeking their endorsement.

I never thought I would say this...but @SenSchumer is right. The US can not withstand another corporate bailout that leaves Main Street in the lurch. This is why revolutions happen. Wipe out the shareholders, recap the companies so workers stay on the job, and start over.

Everyone agrees that a tax on unrealized capital gains is a terrible idea. The gov't shouldn't tax profits that you haven't yet earned. But we allow it with property taxes. Why? If you live in a high-growth area your property taxes increase - often a lot - long before you sell.
