While working in a public library, I helped many teens find books in the adult section because they thought the children’s room was for “babies”. This is a very emotional issue. Make a plan to work with the adult librarian until the dec is reversed.

The Surrender Tree has been in adult sections of public libraries for more than a decade now. I've given up protesting that it's a Newbery Honor middle grade book.

Totally unbelievable to move this book away from YA section. The book gives teenagers so much courage and is exactly what they like to read. I would feel sad that teenagers now refuse to go to YA section because there's nothing interested them in that section anymore.
