has suddenly decided NOT to carry KEY PLAYER, the 4th FRONT DESK book, coming out in 2 weeks! Here are the new details of their new “nationwide strategy”—only giving shelf space for Top 1-2 books per publisher! I am not Top enough, apparently! 😭

I’m sorry I’m so emotional over this. But I’m terrified of what this means for marginalized authors. This industry is already SO hard, and to take away our shot before our books can even get out the gate, just feels so wrong. 😭😭😭

Barnes & Noble being interpreted as a book banning company should be a wake up call to them and customers.
B&N isn’t the only brick and mortar shop but they could easily be next to leave the arena. Just like:
Walden Books, B Dalton, Borders…

This is an outrage! Your books should be in every bookstore. This is so misguided and unethical. Boo, Barnes & Noble. I know it is small comfort, Kelly, but I will buy extra copies for my school library. My students love your books and they are always checked out!
