Being! A! Safe! Space! For! Girls! Is! Important!
Sorry but this is a weird take that I don’t love. Taylor’s music may not be for everyone HOWEVER the fact that she can provide comfort, solace and community for young girls (and others) is life altering for many.
Courtney Love says Taylor Swift is not important or interesting as an artist in new interview with The Standard:
“Taylor is not important. She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.”

Totally. I blame the media narrative on this- deeming the interests and passions of young women as irrelevant is a BORING TAKE and I want the media to work harder to understand this!

every time people dismiss young girls who very much deserve a safe space for the things they're interested in, i wanna write another article about just how much teenage girls have contributed to our goddamn society (and even if they hadn't they shouldn't be so easily dismissed)
