one of the reasons why it's important to remember that not just "just" trans kids are being affected is because policing of gender will affect those most policed for other reasons. also, gender is racialized and race gendered. these are not inextricable from each other.

the ability to move to a different state is obviously socioeconomically influenced. white middle-class families will have more opportunity to flee even tho they're already less vulnerable to this kind of policing.
cis people encouraging parents of trans children to leave Texas-I encourage you to work harder to find ways to offer meaningful support for those who don’t have that option. This is scary and incredibly depressing but uprooting and moving to Colorado isn’t solidarity

In particular, people on the Autistic Spectrum have already been singled out as "mentally unfit" by anti-trans activists. It's not a stretch to imagine that one of their goals is institutionalization of gender non-conforming young people with any symptoms of ASD.
