Notre Dame Mesh Texas Screen
This is a great call for 3rd and long when you now the defense is going to play zone. Your slot receivers run a mesh and look to block W and M. It is important to not engage early.

Alabamaβs offensive dominance continued last night as the Buckeyes defense was never really able to slow them down. Here are some ways Sarkisian was able to add window-dressing/multiple fakes on key plays in the game. π:

- Gun Midline
Gun Midline is a great way to avoid having to block a great interior Defensive Lineman. It is also great for a defense who is quick to run with your outside zone action.

This is a 1-Back Power PA w/the C, RT, & Y clearing the Alley for a Step Back/Tunnel Screen. Pulling the RG influences LB flow to get them to false-step & slow down pursuit. There is an auto check to the field with a Bubble, that the QB can throw based on leverage.

Divide
Divide is a nice wrinkle to the smash concept. The seam-read keeps the 1-high safety occupied so he canβt help on the corner. In a 2-high look it forces the safety to choose between jumping the corner or running with the seam.

- Flexbone Split Zone
Force the defense to practice against split zone as well as the triple option with this wrinkle. You also get some draw action with the delayed hand off.
#PowerfulPlaybook
- Eagles Switch
Switch puts the defenders in a bind by causing natural picks & testing their eye discipline. It also tests the defenderβs post snap communication.
Counter Read with Bubble π
#PowerfulPlaybook
"Having a Counter Read in place with a Bubble on the outside of a spread formation βconstrainsβ the number of players a defense can keep in the box..."
@FBDevCoach
"Jaguar" is a perfect Red Zone play for any offense that specializes in Stick Concepts. The Return/Stick Nod combo allow you to take advantage of over-aggressive defenders. With conversions, this concept beats both Man and Zone.

Trap plays are a great way to get your offensive lineman on linebackers while taking advantage of over aggressive defensive linemen. All pulling guard needs to do is give the back a clean look so he can work the the second level.

Mesh - Texas

The short motion makes it look like the Offense is trying to create space outside in the flat for the back. That paired with the mesh look allows for the back to be wide open on the angle route.
