Had a few DMs off the back of this tweet asking about our pitch. The pitch was built in 1993, had primary drainage installed in 2010, it doesn’t have a gravel carpet and was stitched in 2022 into the existing profile at a depth of 140mm. Pictures attached are 3 yrs apart.

😔 We are devastated to hear of the passing of our former assistant manager, Ian Nevison. 'Nev' was a true Curzon legend, and played a huge part in the club's back-to-back promotions to the @TheVanaramaNL North. Our most sincere condolences go to his family.

It isn’t getting ‘relaid’. We remove the upper surface to remove the existing grass plants (good and bad) and to remove any surface organic matter build-up from the previous season. This ensures optimum water movement and to start with desirable grass species for the new season.
