The opportunity to join
@Dag_RedFC
& work with two such experienced men in Peter Taylor & Terry Harris is one I’m very grateful for. 1st full week at the club & now really looking forward to match-day.

Giroud must be one of the most underrated the Premier League has ever seen. Arsenal fans battered him, despite goals & great link up play. 130 goals in 330 apps for Chelsea & Arsenal (many as sub), plus 39 in 97 for France, including winning the World Cup.
Deserves more credit..
No matter how bad life gets, what Luis Enrique must be going through right now is unimaginable. No amount of money or success can paper over the heartbreak he must be feeling after losing his 9yr old daughter. Life is so vulnerable. Embrace it, and your loved ones whilst you can.
Sick of football being talked about like its separate to the rest of the world. Just cancel the season & start again when everybody else’s world is back to normal & safe again. Sorry about the millions you may lose, perhaps should’ve saved up for a rainy day. Game will survive...
Thankyou to absolutely everybody involved at
@Dag_RedFC
Ive loved my time & am so grateful to Peter Taylor & Tel for the opportunity & the lessons learned. Im appreciative of how fans took me into their hearts of late & I genuinely hope that we all meet again. Good luck. 🔵🔴⚔️
Literally sick of all the pathetic garbage that goes on in Non-League football. So many lies, agendas & unjustified bad mouthing of innocent hard working people. Maybe I’ll just walk away & be free to write articles or a book to uncover all the dishonest frauds damaging the game.
Seeing news that Danny Cowley has taken the Huddersfield job. Didn’t believe the rumours, but what a meteoric rise, what a big job, and what a salary if reports are true! Come a long way very quickly. Huge credit to him & Nicky for earning this magnificent opportunity. Good luck.
Happy Birthday to my Dad. Would’ve been 64 today, and no matter how many years pass us by, or how pointless putting it on Twitter may be, I’ll never let him be forgotten. x
Managers come & go, but clubs live forever. Thank you to
@OfficialSwifts
for the experiences & the memories. The club and its people have helped me develop as a coach & I now leave as a better man. Players, staff, board & fans, you have been great. Thank you & Good luck.
#Swifts
Ok. Danny Rose asked Jose why he’s being left out, Jose told him, Danny didn’t agree, Jose was polite, respectful, but stood his ground. Danny showed some disappointment. Why are people surprised by any of this? Its an everyday occurrence in full time football & to be expected.
And there you go...
Nothing less than I expected. When he text to tell me he was starting, I felt he’d probably score. Very very happy for
@JoanLuque19
& his family. What a moment & there’s so much more to come - I told a lot of people, fortunately
@LincolnCity_FC
listened.
So John Askey managed Macclesfield whilst they owed him £180k. Didn’t go on strike, and got them promoted with little fuss. Having shared a table with him at the National Game Awards that season, where he also won Manager of the year, there was no mention of it. That’s integrity.
Thank you for so many very kind messages, but please don’t be sympathetic. This is right for me also. I got the chance to taste leadership again, and enjoyed it. Unbeaten as caretakers 🙌🏼 The club is now in good hands & with the returning players the future is bright.

Social media is great for football exposure, but the downside is that before it was here, you had to be relevant or extremely well versed in the subject to have your opinion published. Nowadays even the most empty of vessels can make a loud noise.
21 games in 54 days - 48pts gained. Little reward for our cup success to play relentlessly for weeks. Something the league should look at in future. The players, fans & club volunteers have dug really deep, stuck at it, and somehow got us into the play offs. Hats off to you all..
Before I set off for today’s game & just in case they have the internet in heaven 🙏🏻 You left us all those years ago today & I’ll always wish I could have been there for you. If I could turn back time, I wouldnt hesitate. Still remember you Dad. I hope we’ve all made you proud. x
Fathers Day…
I lost my Dad when I was a kid, my parents had both lost their dads as young kids too. It became a day we just didn’t really mention. Then I had my 1st daughter 11yrs ago, and she & her little sister have made sure I know it’s Fathers Day ever since. I’m grateful x
I get that non league clubs want government support, but maybe its also a good time to realise that players in the 8th & 9th tier of the pyramid shouldn’t be earning £2/3/400/wk. Some playing in the 2nd & 3rd tiers of Cricket are still paying subs each week. Perspective needed...
Been in with
@Dag_RedFC
for a year today. From bottom of the league to talk of the play-offs. As much as we want success ASAP, progress is there & we’ll strive for it to continue. Learning everyday. Thank you all for welcoming me into your club the way you have.

What we’re seeing in the Premier League nowadays is exactly why people shouldn’t be comparing Van Dyke, Maguire, Trent AA, etc, to the greats like Ferdinand, Terry, Cole...
Kabamba scores on his Kilmarnock debut Saturday, then starts tonight against Celtic!!! Was on the bench against us earlier this season for Hartlepool. Don’t let opinion or a set back break your determination to succeed. Great little story...
We do suffer some unnecessary nonsense in non league football, so having my family waiting at the door for me to come home from a game makes me happy & grateful. x
A celebrity is gay & it’s major news.. What a world we live in.
Why not tell us how much £ a year is spent on cancer research, and give us regular positive headlines relating to the progress being made, or something similar.
I really don’t care about a celebrities sexuality.
It's the anniversary of my Dad's death again. It's been so long, but like so many people out there will appreciate; If i didn't acknowledge it, id feel I was letting him down. Love him, miss him & dream of seeing him again one day.
RIP Dad. I'll never forget. x
Made great friends from football over the years. Friends I’d never have met otherwise. The best ones are those where you don’t speak everyday, not even every week - But they’ve always got your back, and always supportive no matter what. Even when they gain nothing. Good people...
We want to thank everyone for their support, especially over the last few days. Me, Tel, Glen, John, Neil, Jack, and all the other staff will do everything we can, along with the players, to show you how much we care, and how badly we want to win games for you.
@Dag_RedFC

Had the 2nd vaccine today.
Don’t feel I need it, didn’t really care either way. Not sure it protects anyone else as I can still catch it & spread it. In a nutshell I’ve done it to keep others happy & to hopefully enable & facilitate my own freedom. What a sad state of affairs…
In a game littered with bitter, back stabbing, insecure people - Jimmy McFarlane is one of the most decent Ive met. I have great respect for what he’s done in the game, his longevity & his approachable, up front manner. I’m gutted with the news & pray for his full recovery 🙏🏻
Can i wish a Merry Xmas to all of my family, friends, past clubs players, staff & supprters, and of course everyone associated with
@Dag_RedFC
a club i have loved being a small part of. Together I am sure we can make it a positive festive period & an even more positive 2020.
Great backing from the travelling
@Dag_RedFC
support today. The boys responded with another great display of character, and some moments of real quality too. A real team effort. Merry Xmas to all

Good luck to Julian Dicks in his new role at
@OfficialSwifts
A top professional going into a club filled with top people. I wish him luck, and look forward to watching his team in the future. All the best 👍🏻
Great to see
@JoanLuque19
at Maidstone today. Brought back great memories from our game there last year. He gave me his shirt from the Blackburn Rovers game that he recently scored in too. Means a lot. Great kid...
Very easy to lead, be positive, want the ball, except praise, play with energy, and support the team when winning every week.
Dealing with setbacks, dips in form, criticism & defeat, requires personality, character, belief, togetherness & leadership. Time to show whats inside.
We didn’t set out solely for a clean sheet, but to get one against the most prolific side in the division is a good benchmark. Shame we couldn’t get more. Thank you for a humbling ovation. Onwards with the new manager & a really positive future for

Kind article from
@MattBadcock_NLP
in the
@NonLeaguePaper
Sunday. Glad I was able to mention Terry Harris. Not a lot said about him publicly, but has a remarkable record as an assistant manager & is a very good man. Tremendous work ethic too. His career deserves high recognition.
Very grateful for all the recent positivity toward me. Media & fans, but most notably my peers. Other managers, coaches, and players have been very kind. So many good & capable people out there, so to have earned your respect is very humbling to say the least.
Thank you.
Really positive performance. No doubt that we are capable of that, when we all back one another & believe like we did today. Thank you to all those
@Dag_RedFC
fans & employees that passed on their regards.
Good people 👍🏻🔵🔴⚔️
Me & my daughter back at a place tonight, that holds many memories from over two managerial spells. Relegation deciders, Finals, FA Cup folklore, FA Trophy, play offs, great players, good friends, emotions, lessons & so many good people. We must always embrace the journey 🙏🏻
Laying on your kids bed trying to get them to sleep & they’re chatting about everything except sleep - It can be hard. I tell myself to remember; One day they won’t wanna lay talking to me before bed, they won’t talk about what they wanna be when they grow up. So embrace it 🙏🏻❤️
Feels to me like we have a group that will enjoy working hard for one another & will want to give everything for
@Dag_RedFC
Positive start to Pre Season. Long may it continue. ☑️🔵🔴
Huge thanks to the
@NonLeaguePaper
& sponsors
@Acerbis_UK
for this award, recognising both our FA Cup & FA Trophy runs this season. So many people played their part in these successes. Thank you all 👍🏻
The beauty of being as rich & having as strong a football pedigree as Paul Scholes, is that you can walk away from a role the minute your not comfortable with it. Most have to bite the bullet and work through some very tough scenarios to pay a mortgage & build their reputations..
I can only pray that something happens somewhere in the pyramid to allow Heybridge the promotion they’ve earned. I know we all knew the plan from day one, but doesn’t make it any easier to swallow.
Hearing this boy was MOM today brought a huge smile to my face. Epitomises everything I love in a person. People who know his journey so far will appreciate why I say this. Well done
@EliasSiligato
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Doubt they read Twitter up there in Heaven, but just in case they do...
Happy Birthday Dad, your always in my thoughts - hence the social media birthday wish that your 99.9% likely never to see. It’s the thought that counts hey.. Never forgotten X
Some people use twitter to praise others, promote themselves, be informative or advertise ✅
Then there are those who use it to attack, incite, bully, criticise, undermine, and harass people. It takes all kinds I guess...
An exceptional job being done at
@OfficialSwifts
by Julian Dicks, Doogs & the players. Tough transition, but their consistency throughout has defied the odds. Great Xmas/New Year period. Well done all at the club. Keep growing.
Who knows where we go when we die, but it’s important for me to remember. So I’ll post here even though your likely never to see it. I wish you knew you’ve got a family down here that never met you, but still know all about you. You live on in us. We miss you Dad. Happy Birthday.
Heard a 17/18yr old, 9 stone cretin, dressed in Prada trainers & pretend drug dealer man bag, say to his Mrs “All the stuff in here (Nike Shop) looks like shit ‘benefits kids’ wear”. Spoiled, fake, ignorant, shallow, poorly brought up, weasel. Parents likely to be creatures too.
Delighted to see Heybridge win the play offs. Thought Nick Brown & Kresh dominated the midfield. Gutted Jack missed his pen, but Heybridge 100% deserved to win the game. Huge credit to Julian & Doogs, I thought Swifts looked tactically well prepared, fit, strong & bright. ⚫️⚪️👏🏼
When Jose hugged and spoke to John Terry after the game today, looked like JT was close to tears. What Mourinho would do for a few players like that around him nowadays. Reliable, self motivated people that demand and drive his culture and standards each day. Winners.
Woke up to the news that
@JoanLuque19
@ryanhenshaw
&
@MatthewPrice21
made the league team of the season. I couldn’t be happier. What do they all have in common? 100% commitment.... Congratulations to all three.
RIP My Grandad, John Brown, a pilot for the Royal Air Force. All of the serviceman lost fighting for peace & our freedom deserve to be remembered.

It’s like the first time you watch your kids walk through the school gates..
Happy, proud, protective, and sad all at once.. You just want them to be safe & succeed, but you know your gonna miss them. What a journey.
Clinical performance, important minutes for returning players, and a vital 3pts. Delighted for the manager,
@Dag_RedFC
fans & of course all the players.🔵🔴⚔️
An excellent afternoon so far at Stamford Bridge receiving a National game award for our clubs memorable cup exploits. Very proud to be amongst a select few managers, players & officials whilst representing
@OfficialSwifts
The
@Dag_RedFC
fans deserved that late turnaround & deserved to see the character & desire shown by our players on the pitch. It’s a small step in the right direction, plus its more minutes for those returning from injury. Building Blocks...
Thank you for your support.🔵🔴⚔️
In other news.
@ryanhenshaw
has played a couple games for Braintree and they’ve beaten top of table Dartford, and a strong Maidstone team. It took the Isthmian League to shut down for this to happen. Should’ve been playing at that level or higher for a long time. Lazy scouting.
Best wishes

Lovely Day, remembering my Dad on his birthday with the two Granddaughters that he never met. Another year goes by, but you’ll never be forgotten by any of us. Happy Birthday Dad. xxx
Love seeing Ed Wooten as a big part of promotion chasing Norwich City’s staff. Played for me, coached on my staff at two clubs & has given his life to it so far, for little reward. Now he’s getting his rewards. So pleased & proud to see him on his way to the top of the game. 🙌🏼
Great to see the Heybridge boys from last season all doing so well. Swifts in the play-offs, 4/5 at Concord in play-offs, 4/5 at Bishop Stortford in the play-offs, 2 at Aveley & 1 at Coggeshall in the play-offs & another 1 at Charlton in the play-offs too. Good luck boys. ⚫️⚪️👏🏼
Thanks again. Great to hear from so many people today, from so many different eras in my life. Not just football, but what a bond it does create. It’s special. Without going overboard, it meant a lot. Stay safe, we’re almost there. Birthday in Lockdown hasn’t been bad at all. 👍🏻
Just landed back home, and picked up the very very sad news about Justin Edinburgh. He achieved so much in his life which has ended too soon. My thoughts are mainly with his family & friends, but also the football fans that have adored him. He has left a legacy. Rest in peace.
Read tweets at 1-0 down that Jose Mourinho should be sacked. Comes back to win 5-2 & now has top class reinforcements coming into squad.
Tweets changed to ‘Kane & Son masterclass’. No credit for Jose. 🤷🏻♂️ He’s an elite manager, be grateful to have him, theres very few better...
So proud of my daughter today...
She overcame a lot of self doubt & showed real ambition. She worked hard, was brave & she’s got her rewards. It’ll hold her in great stead for future life challenges. During difficult times, she has made her old Dad a very happy man. x
3rd time I’ve seen Ashley Cole as a pundit. He’s pretty good. Gives real insight, makes coaching points, and makes relevant comparisons from his own career. An all time great player too, so should be on more regularly - better than lots of what I see on tv.
Huge credit to all those that kept
@Dag_RedFC
alive & the fans that kept coming. The impressive record against the league’s top 10 since Oct/Nov emphasises the turnaround you worked so hard to achieve. Hopefully your all very proud of yourselves & excited for the future. 🔵🔴⚔️
Happy 9th Birthday to the greatest achievement of my life so far! Already like a teenager.. A wonderful daughter & a brilliant big sister, making us all proud every day. xxx
Like every year, 2018 was filled with ups & downs. 2019 will be no different. Embrace it, enjoy what you can, be grateful for all that you have, and keep evolving to be the best person you can be. Happy New Year to all of my family, friends & colleagues. May it be a special one.
Thanks
@OfficialSwifts
for an excellent night & the various gifts & awards. Great people behind the scenes making it all happen. My biggest thank you goes to these boys - for making it a season to remember.

Merry Xmas to all my staff & players, the committee & our supporters. I hope you embrace our journey, don’t take it for granted & keep pushing for more. Each one of you has helped to raise the bar, for which I thank you all. May 2018 be as special as 2017. Happy New Year
#Swifts
Very much focused on my own role & our game today, but still want to wish all my former players, colleagues & friends in football a positive season. I look forward to seeing your successes. Enjoy the journey ⚽️👍🏻
Tough place to win, especially with the way Alan Devonshire has got them playing right now. 6 unbeaten. Great reaction to that Boreham Wood game.
@Dag_RedFC
fans were on it today too. Stronger together.
