This afternoon, my mom, our beloved Rupa (Ba to many) passed away at home with family. Her long battle w/ Parkinson's & recently COVID-19 is over. She was a legendary trailblazer who owned the 1st Indian grocery store in Houston, significantly impacting the Indian community.
