Yesterday I was with my mom when she took her final breath. I am grateful that she is now at peace. While I feel lost without her I am so lucky to have so much support from family and friends right now.
I spent the day in the ER today. I learned today that typing and answering your phone with a big bandage on your finger is rather difficult. Thanks to everyone at
@SaintAlsHealth
for being treating me so nice.
We had the honor of presenting icon and civil rights leader
@DoloresHuerta
an award for all the work she has done for ag workers and human rights.

Last week when I got stitches removed the doctor said he wanted me to walk like I normally do. I said “So like I’m on a runway?”
He didn’t think I was funny. I’m starting to think doctors don’t think I’m funny. Why do I try?
