So happy for JLP. She would have been so disappointed missing out on Comm Games. But she performed so well in Con Cup, Quad Series and SSN that (to my surprise) the selectors decided to pick her over a player who played every minute of the Comm Games SF and GF. So impressive

I’m so happy for Kiera Austin. Doing her ACL in round 1 of 2021 right after debuting for the Diamonds would have been devastating. She worked so hard on her rehab, took a risk moving clubs and is now off to her first Comm Games!

A fair bit of talk about there being no capped Diamonds in the TBirds. The flipside of that coin is young players like Horjus, Williams, Nankivell, Dwan and Austin going pound for pound against Diamonds defenders and midcourts. The depth in Australian netball is so bright
