Last week was my last week with @WSMERCURY and @NSomTimes after nearly five years. A massive thank you to all the players, staff and clubs I’ve worked with during that time. It’s sad it’s come to an end but I’m looking forward to the future and the exciting times ahead.

There must be something special about Rhondda. The two managers who have led #Wales to a men’s #WorldCup both grew up less than four miles apart. Robert Page lived in Tylorstown while Jimmy Murphy’s childhood home was in Pentre. What a fantastic achievement for the area.

For the last five years since leaving UWE, I’ve been working hard to try and get a job in sports media. Today that dream became a reality and I’m pleased to say that I’ve been offered a job as a Sports Reporter. Hard work has finally payed off.

For the last six months, I’ve been working in Weston as a Sports Journalist for the local paper. Last night it was confirmed I had passed my probation. I am now a permanent member of their staff and I couldn’t be happier.

Can’t believe Eddie Butler has sadly passed away. I sat in awe when he came to do a lecture in @MetBroadcast thinking how fortunate I was to be in his presence. A lovely man who took time to answer any question we wanted to ask. He was simply incredible at what he did. RIP Eddie.

Yesterday I was at Maes Tegid witnessing history and Met's qualification to the Europa League. What I have learned in the last 12 months is no matter how much of a role you have whether it is big or small you are still part of a team and to be part of @CardiffMetFC is special.
