We are aware that Referee, Ken Templeman suffered a medical incident during his match between Staplegrove Spartans and Creech Cougars yesterday.
Following swift action, first-aid and treatment at hospital, Ken is doing well.

Every club has an individual that goes above and beyond, and it was Martin McConachie from Hengrove Athletic who did just that.
Martin Peters, SFA, had the pleasure to award Martin the 'Secretary of the Year Award' (Adults) earlier this month.

Earlier this week Somerset FA were able to visit Middlezoy Rovers to award Craig Berry with his Volunteer of the Year FA County Award. He was also presented with an FA County Award for Middlezoy Rovers, as they won the Grassroots Project of the Year Award.
Somerset Referee, Mandy Kerfoot, has receive an appointment to the FA Girls' Youth Cup Semi Final between Chelsea and Everton 👏

At yesterday SFA Youth Council meeting our Referee Development Officer, Matt Eva, had the pleasure to award the Somerset FA Grassroots Football Awards 'Young Referee of the Year' award to council member Daniel Bugg. Well done from all at SFA and across football in Somerset

SFA is devasted to announce the death of our President Francis Hillier. Francis, 94 had been president of SFA for 27 years after a lifetime of service to football in Somerset. Thoughts are with his wife Megan, Family and Friends. Funeral details will be published when known.

It is with great sadness that we must announce that Lester Clements has sadly passed away.
Lester was a selfless servant to football in our county for over 50 years and we will greatly miss him.
Congratulations to Somerset referees Rich, Kristian and Jack who have all received a mid-season promotion to Level 4. Testament to their hard work and dedication both on and off the pitch. Well done gents👍⚽️

Avril's hoping she can inspire more women to manage men's football teams ⚽
She's been in charge of Minehead AFC as the only female head-coach in senior football in the County League since October 19, after 10 years of coaching 🗣️ Avril is now working toward her UEFA B 🏅
We understand that everybody has questions regarding the return of football following national lockdown.

With COVID-19 pausing football, water will be sitting in pipes for some time and it will heighten the risk of Legionnaires disease - if you can, run taps, showers, etc. to help reduce the risk 👍
The FA have received guidance from DCMS this evening.
The FA are doing one final cross-check, and the Stage One guidance for the return of Grassroots Football will be released tomorrow morning.
We will share it via all channels as soon as we can.
