@Zackazumpazoo Hello! Yeah to clarify: songs like End of a Century are partly a morbid joke at the expense of their own characters (or subjects), in that case the jaded stay-at-home couple. But listeners might also fear we’ll one day become that couple - to me that’s part of those songs’ thrill
