I mention in chapter 2 that in top psychiatry journals in the 2000s you doubted published schizophrenia “candidate” gene discovery claims, and that you turned out to be right! Well done.

Maybe it is naive, but can the question : "does Schizophrenia come from a genetic predisposition?" be answered without a doubt?

It is a good question. My answer to the question, "does
#schizophrenia
come from a genetic predisposition?" is that there is no valid scientific evidence that it does. That leaves room for doubt, since we cannot prove a negative, but currently the evidence is not there.

Didn’t hear about this book, will definitely be ordering! I actually hold out hope that genomics or mito-nuclear conflict might play a role, but I would love an overview of what’s been done. Some historic hypotheses I’ve read were really bad or very unlikely.
