As this new year begins, let all of us be optimistic, that our best days are ahead of us. We should not regret anything material that we did not accomplish last year. Remember all your mistakes of 2017 are precious experiences. Cherish them.
It’s heart breaking to hear the devestating news about the attacks on churches during easter celebrations in Siri Lanka. I condemn terrorism in all it’s forms, specially on houses of worship; and I stand with the people of Siri Lanka in this difficult time
I’m praying for so many people tonight that may God Almighty give them complete healing and a speedy recovery, especially members of my community and close friends.
My heart is with my people in Sudan. I’m praying for the war to come to an end and for peace and security to be restored in this beautiful country. Sudanese people deserve peace and prosperity, not fear and destruction.

I want to thank everyone who called and texted me today from around the world, giving condolences for the passing of one of the most beautiful reciters of Quran, our Sudanese Shaykh Noorien. He touched many people’s lives. May Allah grant him the highest place in paradise.
I had a wonderful Eid with my family, Alhamdulillah. There was a a lot of laughter, joy, and happy happy memories made. Even amidst these challenging circumstance, we managed to celebrate. I hope you had the same. Thank you to all those who sent us cookies and good wishes!

Sudan continues to be in my thoughts and my prayers. May God protect Sudan and the Sudanese people, and my God grant them peace, prosperity, and stability.

Every politician, every faith leader, and every person of conscience should imagine if those children, whose lives were lost in Florida, were their own. Let us have schools free of violence and work together to protect our children.
O God Almighty ! Make the beginning of this day good, the middle prosperous, and the end successful. I ask You to grant me the good of this world and of the Hereafter, O Most Merciful of all Who show us mercy!
As the coronavirus continues to pose a challenge to many, we should work to increase moments of reflection and prayer around the globe. May God heal those who are sick and protect those with health.
All of us, particularly faith leaders, should condemn the killing of George Floyd by officers of the Minneapolis Police Department.
We must stand firmly to preserve the sanctity of each and every life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Floyd’s family.
My condolences and my heart goes out to the community of Pittsburg. We should all take a strong stand against bigotry and antisemitism. I call upon every community to reach out to their local synagogue and show support.
My heart and my prayers go to our brothers and sisters in New Zealand. All people of faith should stand up to bigotry and hate. I appreciate messages I have received from leaders of other faiths who are grieving with us and standing in solidarity.

My Lord, I ask You for the goodness of this day and of the days that come after it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and of the days that come after it.
It is important for all of us in the Muslim community, especially for Imams and leaders,to create an environment in our community where the people who are suffering in abusive relationship find the support and encouragement to stand against the abusers.
