A lady at the grocery store with limited English approached me in the meat section and pointed at a cut of meat and said “this, uh, mooooooo?” to which I responded “no, baAaAaAaaaa” and she smiled and touched my cheek. For reference she was dressed and looked like Mother Theresa.

Yesterday, my father visited my grandmother (who is suffering from Alzheimer’s) for her birthday. He saw her and said “Do you know who I am?” She thought about it, eventually admitting she didn’t, before following it up with “But I know I love you.”

I am lucky to have a health plan. That plan will cover one and a half therapy sessions this year. Maybe we could go easy on mocking people for not going to therapy and go a harder on making it more affordable/accessible? That's all I've got for the let's talk thing. Thanks!

I just saw a woman open the freezer at Superstore, step on the edge to reach some berries on the top shelf, only to have the door come back around and bump her, KNOCKING HER INTO THE FREEZER AND LEAVING HER TEMPORARILY TRAPPED! So grateful I decided to turn back for cereal.

A couple weeks ago, I mentioned to Sarah that I wanted to buy a record rack I saw on Etsy. Sarah — a genius — was like, oh, we can make that. And then we (mostly she) did! Sarah cut the boards, I did the sanding and varnishing, and now there’s a little more room for records! 📻

The things that are great about #Evermore are the production is lush and the songs are wordy (which I love) and some are fun and some are sad and they’re all full of great lines and stories and melodies and it is completely unburdened by the need for a big hit single. Big fan.
