Ready for winter and summer stargazing. Been busy a lot with the new camper. It's a cool car but needs attention. The first night camping we already spent this week. It was fantastic. As for the military exercise: The conditions - even with state-of-the-art equipment - were
With great sadness I just learned that my Dear Friend Lois has passed away. She was a brilliant, kind soul and a fighter. I will always remember her and her kind spirit. May she rest in Peace. With thanks to

Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) with Mars without gradients and minus one dust mote. I have more Comet pictures, lots of backlog and will try to catch up this week. CS ๐

Standing there in the cold at -6ยฐC, adjusting your instruments, doing your best, it's not an easy task but we don't ask for much, in fact, we ask for nothing other than to inspire people. C/2022 E3 (ZTF) while some are complaining there is not much of the tail to be seen.
Will be back towards the weekend with hopefully a better processed picture of Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF). Have a great rest of the work week and CS, Isa ๐ฝ๐ซโญ๏ธ
We need some colours on such a foggy November night, right David? ๐ So here we go Spiral Galaxy M109, in Ursa Major, 22 November 2019 06:20:05 UTC Image by COAST Robotic Telescope Tenerife Open University. Processing by me with kind advice from

Will be back soon on Twitter. Still not 100%, my system fighting a virus infection (its not C-19). Takes some more time and although my mind is always racing, got to slow down the pace. CS and best wishes Isa ๐
Got some nice data from yesterday and even more from last week. Other than the Comet, some iconic winter objects waiting to be processed. GN ๐ซโ๏ธโญ๏ธ
Danger knows full well that Caesar is more dangerous than he. We are two lions litter'd in one day, and I the elder and more terrible.

2 day ago while waking the Dog at dusk I saw a woman and a man staring up a tree. Thought, never mind, and went my way. When I came back, the lady told me, there are up to 8 owls in this tree.
Great project. Unfortunately, although I live in a beautiful country, people here are not open minded. Thinking hard about the pros and cons of long legal battles and may opt for a solution abroad. Open door nights included for free for all

I'm very tired from the last two nights chasing the Comet and should go to bed now. In astrophotography, there will always be a weak link, most of the time, it will be me, like 2 nights ago when I realized that one of the polar alignment screws wasn't tight. ๐คช
Lac de Morat Switzerland 19.11.2019. After finishing last night very late with the camera I started my day with the camera this morning. Frosty morning, beautiful. No stargazing tonight, high fog. Good night!

So tired from the past 6 months getting stuff done for my Dad and I am usually feeling depressed in winter time and this winter was such a tough one, only clouds till 1 week ago. Keep going strong,
This is the only comprehensive book I have about astronomy, and it's a great one. Got lots of other literature on very specific subjects such as black holes, space & time and of course

Pierre came up with a surprising idea over the weekend. "You should study astrophysics". I said, yes, sounds great and I've been thinking about it but my math skills were so poor at school, I fear the worst. He said: you should go for that ๐ He is just such a great supporter!
My current view and workload. Overwhelmed with 3 telescopes ๐ญ software updates and so on. My dad is unbelievably kind. We spent half the day preparing the move of all equipment
