Many many lessons learned this year, but the biggest one has to be that I need to be bolder. It’s tough when you’re an introvert with anxiety issues, but the world doesn’t care. You need to make your voice heard, not wait for someone to hear you.

It hurts when I see Muslims use words like "stupid" when referring to other people because of something they said. Can you not politely disagree without degrading the other person? Not to bash men, but both instances I've seen here today were Muslim men.

If you're in your twenties, CHILL. Work hard...very hard, but try not to mess up your mental health because you feel you need to make it big now. The work you're doing now will pay off, but you don't have much control over when that will happen.

Zabin Halima is a re-imagination of The Disobedient Daughter who Married a Skull. It’s a folktale I first encountered in primary or secondary school. Yes I flipped it on its head, but remember, the assignment was to REIMAGINE, not retell.
